After working at two legendary West Coast record shops, Fingerprints in Long Beach and Open Mind Music in San Francisco, Jacob Peña aka Guillermo has accumulated quite a collection. But before you call him a "record nerd,” Guillermo is more than just a collector. Whether it’s dropping an 80's boogie set at Sweater Funk, the Sunday night staple Guillermo co-founded, going all Brazilian at his monthly Gostosa! at Casanova or playing the main room alongside the likes of Onra, Dam-Funk and Peanut Butter Wolf, Guillermo is a versatile deejay who can rock many styles. Listen to the mix that started it all… The Sweater Funk promo mix by Guillermo and Jon Blunk given out to friends and family on a road trip to LA in June 2009 as guests at DAM FUNK's FUNKMOSPHERE party. Be sure to catch Guillermo play a healthy dose of boogie, disco, house and beyond at AOTA this Friday at Mercer! ~Marky
