Having ideals in my head about literally anything bums me out, because they almost never play out as well as I thought they would when I actually do them. Even something as mundane as reading a book in a quiet room while it rains heavily outside sounds a lot nicer than it actually is. Not to say that it isn't nice, but it isn't as cozy or satisfying as imagined. Trying to not get my hopes up about things these days.
