(i)Â
Earth, heâs beginning to realise, is a bitch of a planet.
Everything on it tries to kill them. Sure, they were taught that the earth is a sometimes dangerous place back in Earth Skills on the Ark, but thereâs a difference between reading about unfavourable weather conditions and getting nailed in the head by a golf ball sized piece of hail. Or trying to avoid being eaten by animals. And plants. Because apparently even the goddamn plants have evolved to crave the taste of human flesh on this hellscape. Bellamy hates it. All of it.
âI think if we ration our tubers and limit meat to twice a week, we should be able to make it through the winter,â Clarke says, nibbling absentmindedly on a hangnail as she looks over their inventory list. âAssuming winter is fourteen weeks at most.â
âI wouldnât want to assume anything if I were you,â Bellamy says darkly, thinking off all the ways the earth could once again screw them over.
Theyâre in his tent, looking over supply numbers as they try to hash out just what they might need to stay alive for this winter, their very first one on earth. Theyâve been at it for hours, the sun long having set, and theyâre forced to work by candlelight. Bellamy finds himself squinting at Clarkeâs carefully made lists and calculations.
She sighs, rubbing at her neck. âI hate all of this uncertainty. All of our books on climate and weather patterns are from over a hundred years ago, and thatâs before a nuclear armageddon happened.â
Clarke looks defeated for the first time since theyâve started all this and Bellamy, despite himself, feels sorry for her. Theyâre not friends, not really, but they are co leaders and he depends on her like no other. So to see her like this, head hung long and purple bruises under her eyes from lack of sleep, worries him.
Sheâs worn herself thin trying to take care of all their people, him too, but Bellamy is a bit more adept at hiding it than she is. Sure, heâs exhausted and anyone who cares to study his face for two seconds might see a hint of it shining through, but Clarke looks like someone has wrung her dry.
âHow many hunting trips do you have scheduled between now and when you think we should close the gates?â he asks.
âthree a week. Why?â
âIf we bump it up to every other day we should be able to collect some more meat. Maybe start laying some more traps a bit further out,â he tells her, looking over their weathered map thatâs spread across his table. âAlso maybe go back to the bunk and check out its surroundings when weâre not high.â
She worries her lip, glancing back down at their notes. âMaybe. But then weâd have to rework the hunting groups so no one gets too burnt out.â
âI think theyâll be fine upping from once a week to twice a week, princess,â he says and she rolls her eyes at him.
âIâm just saying. If theyâre tired, theyâll make more mistakes. And if they make more mistakes then thatâs more work for me.â
âA little work wonât kill you, princess,â he teases and she kicks him, biting back a smile.
âYouâre such a dick,â she says, but thereâs no heat behind it and itâs quickly followed by a yawn that she tries and fails to muffle.
âGo get some rest Clarke,â he says, pressing his shoulder into hers. âI can handle remaking the groups by myself. You look like youâre about to keel over.â
âNo, no, Iâm fine,â she promises, even after she tries to smother another yawn. âI donât want to leave you to do all the work on your own.â
Bellamy just rolls his eyes and letâs her stay because heâs long learnt that Clarke Griffin is stubborn. Sometimes he has to pick his battles and fighting with her about going to bed when theyâre both tired is a battle heâd gladly let her win.
Of course, heâs ultimately proven right when, just half an hour later, sheâs asleep, head pillowed on her bicep and mouth open a little bit as she snores softly.
It doesnât take long to redo the groups and he was looking forward to collapsing in bed when all of this was over, but now he has Clarke to deal with. He could wake her up and send her off to her own tent, but he saw the bags under her eyes, he knows just how tired she is and he canât find it in himself to wake her up, not when sheâs looking all peaceful like that.
So instead Bellamy sighs and scoops her up in his arms and deposits her in his own bed because despite everything, heâs a good guy and chivalryâs not dead, not yet anyway.
Itâs a testament to how exhausted she is that she doesnât even grumble when he lifts her up. He pulls off her shoes and hesitates for a second before taking off her outer jacket, and then tucks her into his bed, brushing a quick kiss against her forehead as he goes.
He doesnât realise what he did until heâs turned away, halfway through with getting undressed himself, when he freezes.
Back on the Ark, Octavia used to have a habit of falling asleep everywhere and Bellamy would be the one to pick her up and tuck her into his bed, always pressing a kiss to the centre of her forehead in goodnight. It was just a habit.
He glances over his shoulder at Clarke, who was still fast asleep and it makes him relax, just a little.
Itâs late and heâs tired and he chalks it up to muscle memory. It doesnât mean anything.
He keeps telling himself this as he settles on the hard packed dirt floor with nothing but a single blanket while Clarke hogs the bed up top.
It doesnât mean anything.

The Fate of the 100: Tarot Series - 22/22
Card Description by @moonshoesreyes
brought a kiss to the knife fight
enemies to lovers speed editionÂ
âIn Season 7 of the sci-fi series, the young survivors of Earthâs destruction embark on âa quest across the universe that will answer many of the showâs unanswered questions,â says executive producer Jason Rothenberg. No. 1: Whatâs it all been about?â
â TVInsider: 2020 Preview: âSchittâs Creek,â 'The 100â & 7 More TV Shows Ending
Started making bingo cards for the upcoming season, realized my predictions went into wildly different directions depending on my mood, and figured theyâre better off separate. Whoâs down to play?
To Be Totally Locked Up By You
Itâs not a big deal.
So, Clarke and Bellamy are sharing a Spotify account. They share plenty of things already. An apartment. A school. Buying rounds at the bar four blocks away. This is basically the same thing.
Until. Octavia tells them about the playlist. Joint music and both of their listening habits on full display, some ridiculous algorithm that leaves Clarke, quite suddenly, feeling more exposed than ever, sharing emotions and feelings, all set to a soundtrack.
â-
Rating: Teen Word Count: Nearly 8K AN: Itâs happening! Admittedly sooner than I expected (Iâm still only in season five, but the feelings. Iâve got them) and this is almost too autobiographical to be entirely fair, but I wrote this in likeâŠfour hours. So, here it is. Long-time Bellarke fic-reader, first-time Bellarke fic-writer. With lots of thoughts on Bellamy Blakeâs curls. Joining a new fandom is exciting and terrifying.

âWhy are you and my brother sharing a Spotify account?â
Clarke nearly breaks the pencil in her hand. She lifts her head slowly, not entirely surprised to find Octavia staring expectantly at her, arms crossed tightly enough that itâs very likely doing permanent damage to her ribs.Â
Possibly her lungs.Â
Itâs been a very long time since Clarke took those anatomy classes.Â
âWell,â Octavia prompts, one eyebrow arching perfectly. âYes or no question.â âHow did you get in here?â âDid you not hear me come in?â
Clarke makes a contrary noise in the back of her throat, tugging her legs closer to her chest so she can rest her chin on her knees. Sheâs genuinely impressed with the state of Octaviaâs right eyebrow. It appears to be defying gravity.Â
She doesnât really know enough about gravity either.Â
Maybe she should make a list of the things she doesnât know.Â
That seems inevitably depressing.Â
And Octavia is very clearly not going to move until she gets a response she wants, that stupid eyebrow and a pile of papers resting against her hip. Her phone is just barely hanging on in her back pocket, the soft vibration barely audible over the music coming from Clarkeâs laptop speakers and the creaky pipes in their bathroom.Â
Bellamy is in the shower.Â
Clarke is at least sixty-seven percent positive Octavia planned her ambush that way.

ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS (IS FOR YOU TO LOVE ME TOO)
summary:Â With Octavia in Toronto with Lincoln, Clarke invites Bellamy home for the holidays, which wouldnât be a problem, except Jake and Abby think theyâre a couple. Which would be awkward, but not awful, except for the tiny little detail that theyâve been hooking up for months, and Clarkeâs got it bad for Bellamy.

hello Iâm back with some season 1/2 hurt/comfort blarke nostalgia!! bc yes Iâve been wearing these clown shoes since season 1!!! and itâs exhausting!! (but I have faith. it will happen)
weâll give the world to you
for @enoughtotemptme // this was inspired by @bellarkefanfictionâs flash fic prompt âhandsâ but ended up closer to 600 words (thus not submitted), and Julia triple dog dared me (future fic; babies)
Her hands tremble as she waits, exhaustion and adrenaline and emotion all at once.
There had been one night, ensconced in their bed of furs during the hours that felt the most still and holy, where Bellamy had whispered, fingertips skimming along her skin, âDo you want to have kids?â
Earth had never failed to ask questions Clarke hadnât considered previouslyâabout the best way to prepare for snow, how many lives she could carry on her back, which lines crossed couldnât be forgiven.
What she wanted from her future.
On the Ark, before her arrest, she never wondered. There was no question. It was all but defined: she would marry, would raise a child, would contribute to the preservation of the human race in whatever ways deemed necessary.
After her father died, there was no chance. Only isolation and space.
She didnât have an answer for this question, for him or for herself. It had never been a matter of want, before.
The ground had also brought new strains, new scarsâthings that had tempered her reaction to the bright bolt of hope that sounded inside of her at the thought of a person, half Bellamy and half her, entirely and not at all theirs.
Clarke carried so much fault with her, so much weight, even years after the dust had settled and the blood had dried; even after she and Bellamy had found their peace, their light with each other. She still woke up sweating in the dead of night on the worst occasions. He did, too. They just held each other, these days.
They could be vicious and quick in their defense of peace now, but they still knew. They still knew what they had done to get there.
They still carried the people that had brought destruction to the world, had distressed and harmed even though they always meant it well, always meant it for each other, always meant their breaking to build back stronger bones. They still owed this earth for all the hurt they caused.
The joints still ache when it rains.
But she had found him in the dark, found her flesh beside his skin, whispered yes into his mouth so that they were shaking, scared, agreed.
She waits now, heart tied so thickly in her throat as her mother severs one lifeline, hands her another dressed as a traded wool blanket.
Her daughter. Their daughter, her and Bellamy and some chance of the universe wrapped in linens and pallid, bloodied skin; tiny and wrinkled and wailing and a miracle.
Bellamyâs hand finds her shoulder, his breath rushing past her ear as he slots himself in behind her, his warmth holding her still.
Clarke reaches out, traces her finger down the scrunched up face, the puckered lips, the soft-skinned arm to the tiniest nails she could fathom. She prods the fist lightly and her daughter blinks her eyes blearily, roots back into her chest, and grabs hold.
Strong and sure and sacred; five fingers clinging to one.
Abby is still waiting for the afterbirth, and the camp is still waiting for the sun, but Clarke doesnât care. Her focus is glued to where her daughterâs fingers curve, where her skin touches skin. She leans against Bellamy, presses her damp cheek to his and settles in the peace that with this, this thing theyâve done, this life theyâve formedâthey bring something good and new and pure into the world in return for all theyâve wrought. In thanks for all theyâve gotten.
She takes a deep breath.
âHey, baby,â Clarke murmurs, quiet. âWelcome to Earth.â
