Weird Route but Berdly didn’t die au

Someone pointed out in a post that Berdly is friends with Noelle and Kris and basically said that he had to get taken out for weird route to happen since he’d notice something going on between Noelle and Kris more than Susie did (because he’s known them for longer). I agree, so this is basically what would’ve happened if they hadn’t run into each other during chapter 2.

First off, he’d probably get involved sometime at Noelle’s house during chapter 4. Kris does their entire damage control, we ruin said damage control, Noelle hides away while Krusie gets kicked out, THEN BERDLY CALLS. He talks to Noelle, calms her down, convinces her to trash the thorn ring, and gets the understanding that Kris, for some reason, hurt her.

So, festival day comes around, he convinces Noelle to have fun with Susie while he distracts Kris. That was his plan, but surprise surprise, they don’t leave their house. Kinda worried, because no matter how mad at them he is for the entire Noelle thing, he does care about them and knows the entire Noelle thing was out of character from the start. So, he checks on them, sees them visibly get dragged out of bed and his already bad feeling gets so much worse.

They spend time together at the festival (Kerdly date we deserved), and while he DOES ask subtly (not subtly at all, because this is him) every time he does Kris either deflects, says something vague, or somehow stops themself from speaking (he stopped asking after they bit their hand hard enough to bruise). During the festival, he has fun, but he also realizes a few things. One, Kris is still recognizable even when acting weird. Two, they sound weird and are really stiff for some reason. Three, something is really wrong.

He’d probably end up in the dark world in this au but apart from that that’s all the creativity I have so if anyone wants to add onto this go ahead.
