                                 Welcome to Gakuen Hetalia

Friederike “Fritzy” Beilschmidt is twenty-two years old and is a junior. Her major is History (Secondary Education Specialty).

Fritzy was the only child. She was born to good enough parents – nothing special. She was however, mostly raised by her Grandfather, a WWII veteran. On the Nazi’s side. As such, he love of history was sparked by him, and she yearns to teach at a collegiate level. He grades are nothing short of – okay. Nothing exceptional, noting out of the ordinary.

Valeriu Filip Theodorescu is seventeen years old and is a freshman. His major is undecided.

Valeriu had graduated his high school with great marks and a love for many things. But one thing he didn’t have was a plan. What does he do now that high school was over? Apply for many collages and hope to get in, then cry over his unknown future. Yes that was his plan so far, and he had accomplished it.

Augustijn Abe Van der Weij is twenty-one years old and is a junior. His major is botany.

Augustijn was born in a small town in the Netherlands. Growing up he loved helping his mother in the gardens. His mother often would teach him about the different plants that grew within the town sparking his curiosity in botany. After studying long and hard he finally got into an american university.

Ruta Laurinaitē is twenty years old and is a Junior. Her major is ballet.

Ruta has lived in Lithuania for most of her life, and has always been quiet good at her studies, even to the point where she was permitted to attend school in another country! This is her first year at Gauken Hetalia! She has been studying English years before she arrived here, but there is still some phrases and sayings she won’t quiet understand, but thankfully she has a few close friends to help!

                           Welcome to Gakuen Hetalia

Toris Laurinaitis is twenty one years old and is a junior. His major is Computer Science.

Toris was a quiet kid who lived a quiet life until the age of seventeen. Then when his best friend decided to drop out of school, Toris was left behind with his social life kind of up in the air. The local “bad kids” of his high school carefully took Toris under their wings, teaching him the ways to get into parties and various smoke tricks to impress the ladies. Although Toris was never really loud as a person, his reputation spoke for him, and eventually his parents could deal with it. When time came for Toris to leave home, he decided to apply to study far away, instead of spending the rest of his life working a dead end office job like most of his friends and fellow students had been distended to do.   Toris still likes to party and go out, but one wouldn’t think it upon first meeting him. But the moment he hears the word ‘rave’, he practically transforms into another person.

Fjalar Steilsson is eighteen years old and is a freshman. His major is International Business.

Fjalar always felt estranged from his family.  His eccentric mother and stern father spent most of their time doting on his older brother, Børre, telling him to be more like his brother and follow Børre’s example.  It drove him crazy, and he spent most of his teen years avoiding his brother like the plague.  They managed to mend their relationship just a bit before Børre left for college, and without Fjalar’s permission, his mother applied to the same college that Børre attended for him.  He’d been furious with her for her actions but ultimately ended up attending the school despite his reservations, hesitant to reconnect with the brother he’d spent most of his life resenting.  He’s still not sure about college or his major but has decided he’ll give it a shot.  After all, it’s not like he has another plan.  His roommate is Li Xiao Chun.

                         Welcome to Gakuen Hetalia

Im Yongsoo is eighteen years old and is a sophomore. His major is Computer Science.

Diagnosed with ADHD at a young age, Yongsoo had a difficult time getting through school.  His parents refused to put him on medication until he nearly failed a grade because of his inability to focus on the class--but once they did, he blossomed, displaying his exceptional wit and talent.  He soared through his classes and graduated from high school early, attending Gakuen Hetalia a year early.  He was often viewed as strange by the other students in his year because he was so young and hyperactive and usually was offputting to those around him.  As a result, he joined the video games club with the hope to make friends and show off his talents, but he usually just irritated the other members as he spewed off countless facts about the games and bragged about how good he was.

Dear Mr. Vasilev...

                         Welcome to Gakuen Hetalia

Dimitar Pavlov Vasilev is twenty-four years old and is a senior. His major is Engineering.

College was really just an afterthought for Dimitar.  His parents had wanted him to go into politics, as his father was a renowned politician in Bulgaria, but he’d never been the type to go out of his way to make them happy.  Engineering was what kept him sane, not politics, and after a lot of arguing, Dimitar’s parents told him that he would have to go to a university if he wanted to get out of following in his father’s footsteps.  Eager to cut his own path, he agreed, and his father used his position to earn him a spot at Gakuen Hetalia.  He did well his first two years, but after a bad breakup, Dimitar was left rather apathetic towards school.  He drank more, smoked more, partied more, and his grades suffered so much that he lost his scholarships.  He managed to pick himself up just enough to struggle to senior year, but he still seems to generally lack the drive to get through his last year.

Clubs and activities!

Any student that wishes to propose a club or after school activity should fill out this form and submit it to the events blog! It should fill out the following:

Club name: Simple right? Meeting place and time: You can make this up but it should make sense. President/Captain: Presidents are for clubs, and captains are for sports. Co-Captain/Vice President: See above and below. Other members: If you know of others wanting to be in your club then list them here; if not leave this blank and it will be added as others apply for clubs. About the club: Here’s the place to put a short little about for your club. It can be what you do, what you’re here for, etc. People applying for sports roles should not fill this out. Position: This should be accurate to your sport and should not be filled out for those applying for clubs.

Few reminders!

Freshmen and sophomores cannot be captains or co-captains on sports teams; that is saved for the upper class men!

Anyone can create a club and lead it! If we receive duplicates then the one who submitted first will receive the club! Same goes for vice president titles.

If you just want to join a club you don’t have to fill out the form! Just put character name would like to join club name in an ask!

Dear Ms. Kirkland...

                         Welcome to Gakuen Hetalia

Alice Kirkland is twenty years old and is a Sophomore. Her major is English Literature.

Alice comes from a fairly wealth family. Her childhood was most pleasant, even though her older brothers used to pick on her. Alistair, specifically, used to spend a great deal of his time pulling on her pigtails and calling her names. However, there was one brother which she could always rely on and confide in, his name was Arthur. The two of them were rather close, always reading stories together and getting lost in each other’s imaginations, but when the age of 13 came for her older brother, he went away to boarding school. Alice thought that was a mere temporary thing and she would have her old brother back, but as the years went on he grew more distant.

Meanwhile in her own life, her parents treated her with utmost respect, she could continue going to a public school even if she often was subjected to bullying because of her wealth, intelligence, and frumpy appearance, nevertheless at least her other brothers calmed down on tormenting her. Specifically she and Alistair are really close now in comparison to her childhood.

Bullying does not bother her, she has a sharp enough tongue, but what did bother her was Arthur’s personality change. So Alice applied for the same college just in high hopes they will get to reunite again and make things better.

Currently she aims to be a college professor and is rooming with Chiyo Honda.

Dear Mr. Beilschmidt...

                          Welcome to Gakuen Hetalia

Gilbert Beilschmidt is twenty two years old and is a Senior. His major is Automobile Engineering.

Gilbert was one of those boys in school who seemed like he was a complete and utter class clown with no sign of intelligence at all. He would always raise his hand in class and make stupid remarks when the teacher would call on him, or even make snarky remarks when he was not called on. Regardless, he wascool. Although he never bragged about his grades or made any reference to being successful at being smart- this was because he was waiting for the big day, and finally it came.

That day was the day where it was revealed that he was Valedictorian of his high school graduating class. The look on everyone’s faces was priceless, and the Salutatorian was so angry because she thought she was going to get the place.

From that day on it is a known fact that Gilbert actually does not screw around with his education. In college, he does all of his homework the moment he gets it, turns it in at the precise time, and is extremely organized with his dorm room, binders, and school supplies.  

Needless to say, he loves cars. He loves how they are put together, how fast they can go, just the utter craftsmanship, and so that was the path he chose with his major.

His roommate is Antonio Fernández Carriedo.

Amelia Jones is eighteen years old and is a freshman. Her major is Nursing.

Amelia was excited for the new beginning of college. This was mostly due to the freedom portion of it. In high school along with her earlier education, she was a very bright enthusiastic mind. Her senior year after college acceptance, Amelia began to adopt the party lifestyle forgetting quite a bit about her old academic lifestyle. Her mother influenced her to become a nurse due to the long line of women in the Jones family. The girl was excited to learn more about medicine, but now she tends to focus more on illicit drinking with random boys on Saturday nights. Although she still maintains high marks and keeps up with the rigorous courses, Amelia needs someone to talk a little sense into her before her new living creates issues for her future.

Dear Mr. Vargas...

                            Welcome to Gakuen Hetalia

Lovino Vargas is twenty years old and is a sophomore. His major is Architecture.

as a kid Lovino always earned HORRIBLe, AWFUL marks in school. The only subjects he showed a vague interest for were Phys Ed and Home Ec (probably the only guy in the whole school who would admit it LOL). He hung out with the wrong people in school and generally made a mess of himself throughout his thirteen years of schooling, and had pretty much given no thought to the future whatsoever (besides, everybody else was so preoccupied with his brother that it didn’t matter what happened to him, right?????). but his wealthy grandfather disagreed. He twisted a few arms in order to get his prodigal grandson sent to a decent boarding school, in hopes that it would help clean his act up — which has worked, to some extent. Whether his grandfather did this out of love or a fear of Lovino disgracing the family name, he has no idea. he’s inclined to think it was the latter.

Dear Mr. Mikkelsen...

                             Welcome to Gakuen Hetalia

Christian Mikkelsen is twenty-three years old and is a senior. His major is Computer Engineering.

His reputation in his youth and adult years has always been “a genius”, and in some cases “a nerd”. Teachers were left in awe, as he already began doing college maths when he was 7 years old. However, this had actually worried his parents from his strong intelligence in maths, science, and really anything he had to remember and ace (though he suffered at arts and gym). They didn’t want him to be taken advantage of for his intelligence, worrying his knowledge would be put to wrong uses. With this in mind, they tried to isolate him, and he in turn tried his hardest to show he was mature. Eventually, in his frustration with his parents constantly working, he ran away from his family and made an effort to try to be on his own. Of course, there was a lot of difficulties involved, but a few friends took him in and helped him out until he was ready to go out on his own.
