Instead of the new dogshit Odyssey film you should watch Iphigenia (1977). It’s made by actual Greek people and focuses on a mother-daughter relationship to explore how women are sacrificed by powerful men in times of war. Also the main actress has the face of an angel 🙏 the whole movie is available on YT with English subtitles.

I SAW THIS IN THE PORTLAND ART MUSEUM! ITS HUGE!
it shimmers like no gemstones i've ever seen: green as malachite and emerald but shot through with opal, gold, copper. photographs can't do it justice because of how it shines, as well as the way the actual material elements have their own dimensions. you can lean in and study all the fine lines of the circuits or step back and admire how the rearranged whole forms new patterns. it's one of the most beautiful creations i've ever seen.
I'm Unwell about that frame where Sebastian just drags unconscious Lizzy on the floor instead of not being a bag of dicks and picking her up properly. He only bridal carries bocchan everywhere.
at least it shows where his priorities lie.
but it's actually really interesting to see him from this perspective, because before this he always seemed to have a certain level of respect for lizzy. on the campania, he may have striked her so that she'd lose consciousness, but when she fought to protect ciel, he apologized that she'd been forced into that position. when she disappeared, he seemed genuinely concerned and actually tried to figure out what could have driven her to leave.
so why was he so cold toward her here?
is he really still that fundamentally heartless, and every moment where he seems to be softening is simply him getting better at playing the role? does that apply to his behavior toward ciel as well—or is ciel the one exception? has he always felt this way about lizzy, or was he simply annoyed to run into her and took it out on her?
i don't really see anger in the way he acted. what i see is such complete, icy indifference that it genuinely makes me question my own reading of sebastian as a character.
There are layers to his care and respect in my eyes. And Lizzy is definitely below Agni and way below Ciel. Plus she attacked him so he could easily take notice of a potential betrayal on the horizon. It just makes me think of the conversation he had with Bard when Snake first joined them. He might let people in their inner circle and even grow to respect them to an extent, but at the end of the day, anyone showing any hint of animosity towards his master will be met with cold indifference at best, death at worst.
(Plus, there's always the case of him being a demon, it didn't seem like he viewed how he held her as disrespectful, but later remembered humans might not see it the same way)

reading about the participation of children in rituals as a form of play in ancient greece and came across an incredibly charming story from julius pollux's onomasticon where a flood prevented the adults from reaching a sanctuary to sacrifice a ram to heracles, and the children solved the problem by....sticking a bunch of sticks in an apple to give it "legs" and "horns" and offering it as a sacrifice instead. it's such a charming thought and i can perfectly picture kids these days also pretending at sacrificing an apple "goat" at recess
You should be starting a recipe book. I don't give a shit if you're only 20-years-old. The modern web is rotting away bit by bit before our very eyes. You have no idea when that indie mom blog is going down or when Pinterest will remove that recipe. Copy it down in a notebook, physically or digitally. Save it somewhere only you can remove it. Trust me, looking for a recipe only to find out it's been wiped off the internet is so fucking sad. I've learned my lesson one too many times.
