Okay, I was rewatching the season finale and, after seeing all the GIFs of Killian saying “happy honeymoon” in this same scene, I said I’d investigate it again and I swear to you (maybe just because I want this to be a thing) Emma says “Jones” into the walkie, followed by “reporting for duty” or something. It’s hard to make it out, and I don’t think that this GIF does it justice. I’d recommend you go back and watch the scene yourself to make sure.

Yikes…demoted from a prime Sunday evening slot to a Friday night. Aka where shows go to die. This isn’t a good omen.

I’m calling season 7 being the last, either by choice or cancellation. I don’t see them surviving with a huge main cast loss AND a timeslot change. I’ll be extremely surprised if they survive next year’s cut. Such a shame.

ABC fall schedule: Once Upon a Time banished to Fridays

The Once Upon a Time season 7 shakeup continues. ABC just released its 2017 fall schedule (below) and the ABC fantasy drama is getting booted from its longtime Sunday night slot over to Friday nights. Not only that, but reality hit Shark Tank — which has spent nearly its entire existence on Fridays — is getting promoted to the Sunday slot formerly occupied by OUAT. (It’s like somebody in Storybrooke cast a time period switcharoo spell.) The moves also give some added clarity as to why ABC canceled

The move follows Once Upon losing six series regulars for next season, and give some added clarity as to why ABC canceled both Last Man Standing and Dr. Ken— the network did indeed have big plans for their time period.

Other notables from the schedule: Marvel’s miniseries The Inhumans will get a lead-in from Once Upon on Friday nights, Black-ish is moving from Wednesdays to Tuesdays, and Shonda Rhimes will continue to own Thursday nights unabated. Plus ABC also announced a live musical production of The Little Mermaid.

@flyflyangel bad. to me it basically signals that season 7 will be the last for sure. think about it. TONS of people go out on Friday nights. its the start to the weekends. Sundays everyone is at home. this will def. not help with ratings.

Reblog if you are in for S7, but will drop it so damn fast if they kill off Emma or screw up CS happy ending without hope of fixing it.

Hopefully JMO can come back for more episodes after the premiere. Perhaps in 7B, especially if it’s the shows final season which I’ll be shocked if it isn’t.

Can I just say, I really appreciate that they had Hook finally, directly address the ‘one-handed’ commentary by having him cal out that, actually, he’s very capable. That he’s a pirate who’s “swung from masts before.” He’s got this. I’m glad he was given that moment.

I would say this: To the Captain Swan fans, and to fans of romance and love: Hook and Emma ended the season in love and in a beautiful place. We meant what we showed at the end, which is the two of them in a very good place. That’s an important thing for both of those characters’ journeys over the six seasons of the show, and we really wanted to have that feeling that they had found each other and were going to go on together.
