DMV Barters is connecting people in DC, Maryland and Virginia with people who want to trade goods and services without exchanging money, and this event is promising to be big! We've teamed up with erotica writer @molly-ren to zine-ify her Feedee Boys series of short erotica, featuring rockstar Rufus Hex, his girlfriend Pigeon, and their mutual femme boyfriend, Mister Six. First in the series is her short story Gummy Bears, where Rufus discovers a certain brand of gummy candy has some wonderful (and gross) side effects. Not even an upcoming show can stop him from trying them on himself, and Pigeon is eager to torment...er, help him through the process.

If you love horses, you might have already heard of Robert Vavra. Hailed as a master of equine photography, he spent the 80s and 90s traveling the world and photographing hypermasculine subjects like bullfights and Andalusian stallions. But while he was gaining worldwide recognition for his serious photographs, he was also working on another project: creating photos of "real" unicorns.

His unicorn photos were eventually collected in the 1983 coffee table book, Unicorns I Have Known. This books features not only dozens of photos of unicorns in unconventional poses like swimming and fighting, but sketches of unicorn courtship and mating.

Since Unicorns I Have Known seems to be out of print, I created a fan zine of this...well, horny unicorn art, with the goal of making more people aware of this "forgotten" aspect of Vavra's work. I also attempt to answer questions like, "Is art of unicorn horn jobs inherently queer?" "Who was 'Barbara Funk', who Vavra credits as making these drawings?" And finally, "What does unicorn 'horn honey' taste like, and what kind of person fantasizes about trying it?"
