These two were surrendered to a vet that can't care for them. They've been on that tiny tank for some days now.

It's very important, as you can see here the back arches on the small green wheel that came with the cage, that's harmful.

The minimum wheel size is 8.5" for dwarf hamsters and 12" for Syrian hamsters.

And the size is important too, this cage is on the big side of cages sold "for hamsters" and it can barely fit a proper sized wheel.

Minimum cage size is 450 square inches of uninterrupted space.

Meet Pipo and Piña, the newest rescues added to the family.

Pipo has a new big cage for himself, and Piña is on quarantine and will be joining my other cockatiels.

You can see the before and after pics. Pipo has been with me a week, Piña just since yesterday.

I'm really grateful for everyone on Twitter and Instagram who have been donating so I can keep rescuing small animals, some to rehome and some to add to the family. And also for supporting me on the wild birds rehab ❤

So, I rescued two hamsters. I will re-home the male asap and wait to see if the female is pregnant.

(Yes, they were being kept together, never do that)

I never posted here the outcome.

Both were female, the chubby one wasn't pregnant obviously but she was sick and bloated. Vanir (the one I thought was a male) was sick too, I took them to the bet many times.

Banks passed away in a short time and a friend adopted Frejya (bloated one) and kept with the medication but sadly she passed away too.
