being obsessed with your god’s domain before you started worshipping is so reassuring…
like what do you mean you’ve been here the whole time? that you’ve always been a part of me lying in wait? that you, the divine, has innervated & enriched my life long before i acknowledged you were divine? SICK!!!

People will make a fandom around a pile of assorted junk and imbue each piece of the pile with way more significance than the creator did. I think sometimes there’s a little bit of an element of taking ownership/care of characters the creator doesn’t care for in this type of fandom formation. It can be a beautiful thing to adopt abandoned or neglected characters or sometimes it may become a toxic thing if the creator genuinely does care and the fandom wants to grapple over it. I originally started thinking about this as a through for a kind of encouraging “people will make a fandom around anything, so make what you love” sentiment or something but it got me thinking about the different ways the sort of love triangle of creator – art – fandom relationships take shape in part around the perception of the other’s perspective on the art. A creator/fandom relationship revolves around their connection to the art and their sense for how the other party is connected to the art. If the fandom feels that the creator doesn’t care/is in it for money/doesn’t understand what made their art compelling there may develop a sort of resentment or desire to free the art from the clutches of its creator. Conversely, creators often develop feelings about the fandom forming around their art if they feel it’s misunderstood/that it’s liked for the wrong reasons/the fandom is trying to wrest it from their grasp when they still love it and care deeply for it. Whether either party is correct in their conclusions, that perception impacts the making of the art and the way it’s received and the way it is responded to in turn.

Hello. First of all, thank you all for all the likes, comments and support! I have been working a lot faster than I am used too to updeat more frequently and consistantly. To answer the cquestions of some user, no, I am not taking comissions right now, but I do want to. Hopefully I can open commissions in earnest soon, it just has been a little complicated for me to do so right now.
Having said that, I am really thankfull for all the reblogs and likes.
This time around is Queen Sonia, wnated to give her a sort of ritualistic atmosphear, since she is a priestess. I am not entirely satisfied in that regard, but I think I got the colors right. Hope you like her :)
See you next post!
