The European Union already forced Apple to abandon its proprietary charging port and adopt USB-C across its entire iPhone lineup. It just did something bigger. A new EU mandate requires every smartphone sold in Europe including Apple devices to feature a battery that can be replaced by the user without specialist tools, without voiding a warranty, and without sending the device to a manufacturer approved service center. Batteries must maintain a minimum capacity threshold after a set number of charge cycles and replacement parts must remain available for up to ten years after a model goes on sale.

The consumer electronics industry built its current business model around batteries that degrade, cannot be replaced at home, and create a natural upgrade cycle every two to three years. The EU just legislated that model out of existence in the world's largest regulatory market.

Apple, Samsung, and every other manufacturer now faces a choice between redesigning their devices for the European market or accepting that their current hardware architecture is no longer legally sellable there.

Given that no company walks away from European consumers voluntarily the phones are going to change and once they change for Europe the rest of the world will ask why theirs still do not.

i'm quitting my job as a barista at target, because my mental health has dropped so low that it was tipping into suicidal ideations. literally because of this job.

management has been awful, communication is awful, and i'm tired o feeling like i'm the only one who cares to do their job right. i still feel bad because it feels like i'm abandoning my coworkers who do work their asses off to the wolves but i cannot go down with the sinking ship.

my leader for the past year was wonderful, but they never let her do her job and stay in her department. then they switched her, and didn't let any of us know officially - we all heard by word of mouth.

i just couldn't do it anymore.

What if Time and Twilight were in Tears of the Kingdom to help out Wild… that thought had consumed my brain until I spent over 27 hours drawing this.

I like to headcanon that after the Shrine of Resurrection, Wild’s eyes reflect blue in the dark. Then after he lost his arm in TotK, his right eye will glow the same color as the Ultra Hand whenever he uses it.

I'm not the first to point it out but fire lord ozai really had just a comically short reign. He fumbled it so badly. Imagine. You get the throne. You tell your gay son to go find a mythical hero who doesn't exist anymore so he'll stop embarrassing you & he really thinks he's gonna do it. Lol. Cannot stress enough that he gave Zuko a purposefully impossible task (find the avatar) and three (3) years later he actually fucking did it.
