The hate my boy Severus gets it's very...not deserved, especially if we compare it to worse yet loved characters from other shows.

Sev is an arsehole, I love him, but the hate he gets it's so, overexaggerated, Loki from marvel, he's really fucking loved, but he's done worse shift than Severus, so has Hannibal from the TV show.

Hell, let's say Voldemort/Tom riddle, he's really loved as well, but people hate on Severus more, cause he insults some kids, if I were in his position I would have been worse, he has a whole lot on his plate, being a spy, a potion teacher, dealing with idiots every single day.

Neville's boggart was Snape, well, Hermoine's boggart McGonogall. McGonogall is far from a perfect teacher, she has a bunch of flaws as well.

Snape haters talk about Snape as if he is hitting the kids every fucking day, but if i recall correctly, the only time he lashed out was when Harry looked into his pensive, and Snape threw something at him. I think that reaction is real fucking valid.
