Took about 30-35 hours to paint over 7 days and had to draw on paper first before painting over it to accelerate the process (because lining digitally using a non-display tablet takes forever). I think I’m done painting for this month ಠ_ಠ

I'm alive! I didn't think I'd post anymore TF2/SFM related content, but here we are.

I started this in Jan 2021 and only managed to finish it now after working on it on and off (mostly off) for the last couple of years. Been busy living life :)

This is a rly weird question but in 2018 you redrew Scout tf2s chest tattoo... would it be ok if I used that design to print a temporary tattoo for my friend? It won't be commercial use and literally only my friend group will see it. I just wanna ask the artist first lol

Oh hey, I haven’t posted here for a long time.

I love this cat meme and I got tired of it being so low quality that I decided to paint over it and make it sharper/cleaner.

Does this really count as art? I don’t know, but my productivity has been very low compared to the last few years that I might as well post this here. I still draw every now and then and I still post on DeviantArt, albeit very rarely nowadays.

For making SFM models on Blender. What is the right view? User Persp or User Ortho?

EDIT: I answered this on my phone and it only displayed up to "What is the right view.” Here’s my actual answer: DO BOTH! I do orthographic views for initial sculpting from a model sheet and perspective to get things right afterwards. I switch between the two in the process.

I'm not quite sure what exactly you're asking... but I'm going to interpret your question as querying the right side view of a model? If so, here's a diagram of it. The right side view corresponds to number 3 on your numpad in Blender in the orthographic view.

Just wanted to ask if the Revzin HWM method is still viable nowadays, also asking how you solved the bad normals thingie with the DMX edit method... I hope this question doesn't bother you cx, anyways, have a good day/night!

It still works/is viable to a point until you get to the corrective shapes part due to the whacked out normals. It might be best to contact Maxxy about the DMXEdit method as he is the person I got resources from for that.

What have you been up to lately? Like project wise

I was working on private models for someone after I published my last SFM workshop model last April 2018. That project is still in progress so I can't comment on what it is. Since then, I've taken a hiatus from all projects due to shifting focus on a different set of priorities in life.

In short, none at the moment.

Hello, I haven't been working on personal 3D projects for a while now. I'm not sure what kind of update people are expecting. A full makeover? Rigging improvements? Etc.

Hello everyone, I've let this blog rot away in this corner of the internet.

It's been exactly 1 year since I last published a 3D model for the SFM workshop. In order to commemorate my 1 year anniversary of starting my hiatus/publishing my last model/mod, here are some interesting things I discovered at a museum in Japan showing the topology of various Pixar characters. What surprised me was seeing a mess of tris instead of quads on a film model...

(Greetings from Japan. I've taken pleasure in living a normal life working on a normal career and travelling in place of being chained to my PC doing 3D models. I don't know if I'll come back to it again.)
