the older girl offered riku a kind smile, a hand resting on     her hip.  the bigger jacket looked a  bit silly on him,  it     being a little baggy on him, but heâd grow into it. besides,     almost everyone looked good in leather.
â no problem, kid! so, is there              anythinâ ya wanna do today? â
Riku couldnât help but smile back, crossing his arms and looking awfully proud- the fact that his sleeves were so baggy they wrapped around his arms only served to make his smile wider as he thought about her question.
âCould we maybe...?â He paused for a moment, thinking over his answer before he finally deemed it okay enough to ask.
âGet some ice cream?â
gives him an old black leather jacket she got a while ago.
â there, now yer one a the cool kids. â
He stared at the jacket for a brief moment before he put it on and grinned. It was a little big, but still cool looking.
         âAwesome! Thanks, Breeze!â
âHow come I donât get to have a cool black coat?â
There is something so heartbreaking about watching the happiest, silliest character in a series of any sort break down and cry.

I mean, I don't really know how your family does vacation, but I'm sure they have everything figured out already, so don't stress about that. And if it's what your family was saying that's stressing you out, you shouldnât let it. I know itâs easier said than done, but you should just keep reminding yourself that theyâre just telling you that to be cautious. As for the itinerary and the wardrobe and stuff thatâs not really you, well, I honestly donât know what to say to that except that itâll be over soon. But, Iâm sure that youâll find a ton of fun stuff to do even within all the boring stuff.

Ahh â so the kid had a bit of a backbone, did he? The stare he was giving the raven only made pale lips perk even more in amusement â and Vanitas couldnât help but copy the movement, a Cheshire Catâs grin overtaking his lips;
How cute.
âYou donât need to,â
He couldnât really force the kid to tell him anything â not when he was one of Xehanortâs acquaintances, or whatever,
âBut I could always ask Master Xehanort if you donât tell me, kid.â
Riku frowned, crossing his arms.
He knew that if he let Vanitas go and ask Xehanort, heâd probably find out more about whatâs going on than Riku knew, and he didnât want to let that happen.
âIâm here so Xehanort can teach me.â
Ventus showed nothing but enthusiasm at the fact that the younger boy seemed eager to learn â it really was a nice feeling; to be able to teach somebody something.
âHold it,â
He shifted one hand from his own side to move the swordâs position in the silverâs grip â so that it was held in the same backward position as his own,
âLike this â and try swing it.â
Riku took a moment to memorize the stance and how he was holding the sword. If he got this, heâd have to try it at training some day. With that thought, he took his first swing, grinning brightly when he didnât fall over.
âHey, I did it!â
He took a couple more experimental swings, finding that he was actually having a lot of fun, and he was doing okay! That is, until he tried to take a running swing and ended up falling over onto the grass. That didnât kill his mood though, and he looked up at the older boy with a grin.
âHowâd I do?â
âI see.â He gave the child a sympathetic frown - being a young child in such a big city, couldnât possibly be easy. Â âYou are in Insomnia, the capital city of the kingdom Lucis.â He explained. Â âYou are not familiar with Lucis, I assume?â
âInsomnia?â Riku tested out the name, tilting his head slightly. It sounded weird to him, but he kept that part to himself. He shook his head slowly, âNo, Iâm not. Iâve never been here before.â
She crouched to be at his eye level with a matching smile. âWow, you are getting pretty strong huh?â
Slightly amused by the way he seemed so eager to show off to her, she couldnât resist reaching out. Her hand landed atop his head and mused the white strands, leaving them in disarray.
âWhoâs been teaching you anyway? Youâve gone from swinging around a wooden sword to making Dark Corridor. Thatâs quite an improvement.â
âHey!â Riku yelled, reaching up to try and tame his hair, although he was smiling a bit. âKai-ri!â He worked for a moment to make sure his hair was all fixed up before he started to explain.Â
âWell, Xehanort teaches me lotsa stuff, but sometimes the others teach me too.â It was true. Heâd learned all sorts of things from how to hold his sword correctly to how to play poker. Though he was pretty sure heâd forgotten how to play already.
âXehanort taught me how to make the corridors, though.â He left out the part where he still messed up all the time.
Thereâs a thunderstorm outside. Send âKRACK!â to see how my muse reacts to a loud crack of thunder.
