(wieldersoftomorrow) "Hey James! I got a haircut!" Sky giggled, going up to James. His hair was also a dark blue-- almost looking like it was black, until it moved that is. As it moved, there was a subtle shimmer to it, hinting that either Sky or Darrien worked some magic into it as well, "Darrien dyed my hair for me too! Whaddya think?"

He blinked, looking at the hair in amazement, his head tilted in awe. The way it shimmered in the light was fascinating… “Woah…. Dude that’s… That’s so cool….”

Sky didn’t buy it. There was no way he didn’t miss much. James was hiding something, he could tell, “James.” The boy’s voice was stern now as he took hold of the other’s hand, “I know what I missed was more than that. Darrien’s all beat up and on bedrest, you’re not in such great condition either… What happened. Please, don’t hide this from me.”

James winced a bit, before sighing and opening his left eye, the golden iris fully visible for Sky to see. Even a few black looking blood vessels too. Tapping too much into the second heart in such a weakened state had left him with a lovely parting gift.

“….I don’t know why Darrien is so beat up… You know why I’m all beaten. But we were both on bedrest after… Summoning our familiars. But… I… I guess I used the Darkness too much…”

Skykar stiffened when he saw the golden iris, eyes widened a bit. For a moment, he was frozen where he stood… Then he slowly hugged James tightly, “… I’m sorry…”

James sighed, hands closing over into fists. “…you’ve nothing to be sorry for, Sky. This is my fault. Maybe I’ll just end up taken by the Darkness in the end, eh? I mean what kind of Keyblade Wielder am I if I just… Let the heart control me?”

“… If you get taken, then so will I… I’m already a creature of the dark… If you go down, we go down together.” He said, looking up at James. He recalled the creatures he’d seen on that world… Poor souls who’d been overwhelmed by the darkness… Maybe that would be his own fate.

He gripped Sky’s shoulders. “…I won’t let you get taken. If I go, I’m going alone, you got that? You’ve got too much to keep going for dude. You’re… You’re more important than me. I’m just a guy who happened to get caught up in this whole thing! I just happened to get a Keyblade of my own!”

“James… Are you forgetting who chose you?” Skylar said, placing a hand on the taller’s cheek, “Sora did. He chose you, saw potential in you… You’re not just some kid. Besides… It’s probably my fate anyway…”

James bit his lip a little, his grip tightening gently. “…You’ve been trained. You’re on your way to becoming a master. You’ve got some… Big quest. A destiny! Your parents! I… I just…”

"James..." Sky's face held a deep seriousness, stubborness-- he was not budging on this, "If we go down... We go together."

(wieldersoftomorrow) Nocturne knocked on James' door, a serious look on his face. Seems he needed to talk to the other wielder about something.

James blinked, while Raikou simply sat on the bed, tail raised along with his ears. The boy stood up, opening the door. “…Nocturne? Hey are you okay…?”

Sky looked back to James, smiling and closing his eyes as he leaned against him, “I missed you too…” He said.

“…Darrien and Kirimi’ll be glad to see you again too. But uh… F-Fair warning, Darrien’s still resting. He was hurt by something recently… I don’t know what…. And then we both summoned familiars. That was an experience… Yeesh…”

He started to walk with Sky over to the others, curious about the new arrivals.

Skylar blinked, looking worried for a moment before puffing out his cheeks in light annoyance, “Jeez, you two never chang do ya? We keep tellin’ ya to rest before doing stuff like that.” He said, pouting as he walked over to the others with him.

Noc looked over to the two as they came over, “Big bro!” The small boy that had came through with Sky smiled and went over to the brunet, hugging his legs and looking up at him, “Noc and Sol are really nice! This place is really cool too!!” The child blinked when he realize James was there, tilting his head slightly, “Who’s that?”

James grinned, giving a small chuckle and running his fingers through his hair. “Nope! Never gonna change either!” He blinked at the sight of the little boy, looking down at him with his eyebrows raised, his golden iris stoll glowing just a bit.

“…Big Bro? Uh… Adopting new family members Sky?”

Sky couldn’t help but laugh a bit as he ruffled the little boy’s hair, “Yeah, somewhere down the road he delcared me his big brother. James, this is Eddie. Eddie, this is James.”

“Hi!” The boy said, smiling and giggling as he let go of Sky, waving at James excitedly.

James gave a little smile, kneeling down to the boy. “Hey there Eddie! Nice to meet you.” He almost reached out with his left hand before catching himself, hiding the shadowy appendage, placing his right hand on the boy’s shoulder.

“We’re gonna help take care of you guys, I promise.”

Eddie smiled wide, nodding, “Thank you mister James!” He said. Skylar chuckled, smiling himself. He was happy that Eddie wouldn’t spend the rest of his life on that world.

He chuckled again. “You can just call me James dude. I’m not even 18 yet!” He stands up, looking around a bit, shaking his head. He’s just a little dizzy, but shakes it off.

“Maybe we should head back. Don’t wanna keep you away from Darrien and Kirimi for too long now, do we?”
