「 Stupid Reborn … Why do I have to be the one to look for it? 」 Tsuna all but complained, dragging his feet the entire time. It was a cold and crispy evening, and he was shivering violently in his jacket. It wasn’t his fault that Reborn left something behind while they were all out playing with Lambo and I-Pin. And by playing, it was more of them trying to keep Lambo out of trouble. Trying being the key term here.
Of course, had he not been so busy complaining and sulking about the matter, he would have realized that Reborn wasn’t careless enough to actually leave something behind. There was a different angle Reborn was getting at. There was an angle for everything and anything he does. In this case, it was part of his duty to ensure the safety of his family, and that meant evening patrols—consider it as a change of shift between Kyoya Hibari throughout the day and Tsuna through the night.
Wandering towards the shrine, he looked about for the missing item. This had been their last stop before heading back home, so it had to be somewhere around here. Pushing some shrubs aside to force his way through, he came to a stop when he saw a tall figure in the dull light the shrine provided.
At first, he didn’t think too much of it. While it was odd that there was someone else here so late in the night, it wasn’t a crime. But then … He saw her head rotate all the way around and his eyes widened in clear fright.
In his attempt to get away, he stumbled backwards and fell on his ass, quick to cower into a tight ball. 「 HIIIIEEEE! Your … Your head … It twisted all the way around .. How … — How is that even p-possible?! 」 A pathetic whimper escaped him, holding his head in his hands as he peered past his arms. While now she looked, at least, normal he was still not convinced.
「 What … — What are you? 」 Probably not the most polite thing to ask, but he was too overwhelmed with panic and fear to think properly. Maybe he would have realized she seemed, more or less, friendly. But, you know, he was still too busy freaking out.
The princess blinked, to be fair, he was handling this far better than most, at least he wasn't a vegetable. That was the last thing she needed, no she had to tread carefully. Taking her hand in the universal sign of I mean no harm, did she squat down, golden eyes softening as they gazed into terrified brown.
"To start with, I commend you for taking this better than most. Others have gone completely catatonic, so good on you." Her compliment was genuine
"As to answer your question clearly not human" the lilt of her tone indicated humor but it was another thing entirely of it was picked up, humor was not a strong suit of hers "I'll be blunt, I'm a demon from Hell" she raised a finger to silence the impending meltdown, eyes briefly flashing a familiar blue, the air seeming calmer with each word, whether it was intentional or not, was left to be determined.
"let me finish please , I'm not here to cause any form of harm, really, its that time of the year for me to take a vacation top side. See the sights so woefully absent in hell." A sigh left her as she stood up once more hand outstretched as if to help him up.
"Let me try this again. A pleasure to meet you I'm Octavia, the Princess of Knowledge, and I'm horribly sorry for the fright I've caused you " a kind grin appeared on her features “Do you have a name, dear?”
