This is why Pride is not just a party. It's a joyful celebration, but it's also a pointed and colourful two-finger salute to a world that stood back whilst so many of us died. And we'll never go quietly, never again.

Happy Pride everyone, today is the tenth anniversary of the nationwide right to gay Marriage in the United States and the 22nd anniversary of nationwide legalization of Gay Sex. In 2 days is the 56th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising.
We have won nothing without fighting and we have everything to lose, there is no gay liberation without trans liberation, none of us are free till all of us are free, we have won so much and come so far but the road ahead is still long, we must continue to fight for both our liberation and the liberation of all people
The gay liberation movement is young, everything we have fought for and won happened over the course of less than a human lifetime, and there are forces at play that wish to claw back at these hard fought for rights, we must be prepared to defend what we have fought for and we must continue to fight for improvement
We have to celebrate how far things have come, because we never would have made it this far without joy and hope, and while we can and must fight, we also must remain hopeful
This year is:
11 years since nationwide gay marriage in the US
23 years since sodomy was legalized
57 years since Stonewall
I think people would be less suicidal if they were allowed to talk about being suicidal without risk of being sent to the Torture Dungeon
I dreamed of you but not in the romantic way but in a metatexual since itâs also been used as a reoccurring motif for her intertextual predecessor (and ultimately the one whoâs legacy she will transcend) to hint at maybe not narrative but thematic importance and I dreamed of you having a kind of surrealistic feeling about it owing to the fantastical elements of the series, the narrative has literally dreamed of her! But also in the interpersonal aspect and how much this means for both characters yes he has dreamed of her in the literal sense but he has also dreamed of her, the true knight! subconsciously wishing for someone to discredit his overt cynicism for years and for such a shambling and ugly person yet the one true beauty he has ever met being that person so of course she is the one he can straightforward tell I dreamed of you with zero hesitation!! And her!! Being constantly reminded how sorely she sticks out in this society because she cannot conform and being othered and mistreated and yet this man who has been nearly nothing but cruel to her telling her I dreamed of you, because even if the world doesnât accept her the rules and rigidities blur when dreams are concerned, ie she could almost be a beauty she could almost be a knight, and in the dream her sword is the one that burns against the darkness, she is the only logical successor to this motif and she will not fall short where her ancestors did. But all of this is not to undercut the straightforward romance in this statement. Why did you come back? Jaime only shrugged. I dreamed of you.
History will remember you today, Minnesota. Well done.
IN NEGATIVE TWENTY DEGREES!!!!!
Please spread this around. Don't let ANYONE lie and say my community is anything but ASTONISHINGLY UNITED in rejection of ICE's behavior. This crosses generations, race lines, party lines, class lines. THAT is how bad ICE is. THAT is how bad we want them gone.
THAT is how loudly we are DEMANDING they leave!
Do you understand what a crowd like this means in a small city like Minneapolis??? In weather that hurts to breathe???
Can you imagine what that takes?
Bigger turnout than his inauguration!
(Poorly) labled pictures of ICE de-arming the civilian victim today, WELL before he was shot.
Hereâs ICE taking the first push before as well, this was a completely unjustified attack.
In case people don't realize the full extent of what's going on, we are under siege in Minnesota. I live in an affluent, majority white suburb of Minneapolis, and ICE is all over the place terrorizing people. They showed up at the library, kitted out in their Temu tactical gear, and stormed it.
The library. Please let that sink in.
They've pulled weapons on legal observers and physically attacked them. They're threatening teenagers and children with death. One woman told a story at my, again, affluent, majority white suburban town's city council meeting this week of being shoved from behind so hard that she fell down by an ICE agent, who then said to her, "Stop touching me." A man, in tears and begging for our city government to do something to help our neighbors, described having a baton pulled on him. They're luring people out of their workplaces with lies about "hitting someone's car in the parking lot" and then abducting them. Citizens and legal residents are being detained. People are being racially profiled and snatched. A teenager (a US citizen) working at Target got dragged out and shoved in a car, then dumped a mile away in a Wal-mart parking lot, beaten up and crying. And all of this is after they murdered Renee Good.
I don't emphasize the demographics of my particular suburb to say "but this shouldn't be happening here, we have money!" but to illustrate that the Trump administration has declared war on a US state. Even if you stick your head in the sand because you're white and won't be directly targeted, ICE is running traffic lights, speeding, tearing the wrong way on one way streets, and causing nasty accidents because they think they're above the law. They think it doesn't matter who they hurt or kill, because they're being told straight from the top that they can do whatever they want to whoever they want.
We are all under attack, and this is coming to a city near you if we don't stand up to it. Please stand with Minnesota, as well as LA, Portland, Chicago, and every other place DHS has sent their COD cosplay gestapo. I don't know what that looks like for you but please, please, don't ignore this.
Do not forget the other victims of ICE
as much as we must mourn and stand in solidarity with Renee Nicole Good, please do not forget the other victims of ice raids, who are not white. Silverio Villegas Gonzålez, a cook from mexico who was dropping his son off at daycare and was murdered Jaime Alanis, a farmer from mexico who fell off a green house at the farm where he worked to send money to his wife and daughter Roberto Carlos Montoya Valdez, a father and grandfather from Guatemala who was hit by a car Josué Castro Rivera, a garden from Honduras who was struck by a car And so many others who were killed or are dying in detention centres, prisons ect racial bias is always something we must be aware of, Renee will be focused on because she was a white woman and a US citizen, but do not forget all the other victims of ICE, may they all rest in power

This post was made 4 days ago. Probably a good time to take another look at these threats
Trump trafficking his child rape victims to trafficking and kidnapping immigrants through his ICE policies to now kidnapping a leader of a country. I see a pattern.
It was never about drugs or democracy.
Bibi obviously has no oil.
White mediocrity can't process they will never be wealthy. A total lack of humility.
âWe couldâve built this place in seventy two hours, but human rights violations kept us from completely treating these people like animals in a zoo.â
Housing the homeless isn't feasible.
Treating the sick isn't feasible.
But we can build concentration camps in a week.
i donât know how to explain to you people that no matter what a countryâs government is like i do not and will not support the US indiscriminately bombing that countryâs civilians and i donât know why thatâs a controversial take tbh
âoh iran is a dictatorship!â âoh palestine is homophobic!â i donât care like literally i donât care thatâs not a problem to be solved by other countries blowing innocent people up
