finally sunday! i have one week of vacation now, but sadly i’ll be quite busy… there’s two presentations to prepare and quite a bit of homework, as well as my cello exam coming up. still, i try to make the most of things, read and journal and go on nature walks. i hope your week will be as lovely as possible

These days, lots of public libraries have a "library of things" collection where you can check out kitchen appliances or yard tools or toys, and, as a children's library assistant, the most popular library of things item that I handle regularly is a plastic scepter thingy called like "unicorn princess magic wand". And whenever I check it out I make a big show of looking at the little kid and being like "do you solemnly swear to use your unicorn princess magic powers only for good and never for evil?"

And pretty much without fail, the little kid will get the world's most mischievous grin and go "I'm gonna use it for EVIL!!!"

🍂 Today I woke up early to meditate & see the sunrise, tried journaling in cursive, read a little, and made a 2nd attempt at dalgona coffee (the froth is better than yesterday!). So far so good.

I’ve felt so stuck recently, so today I made a list of complaints and solutions for various aspects of my life that I’ve been dwelling on without putting work into improving. 29 August 2019 | Greetings, friends! I’ve been away for the summer reading *all the books* but now that the term is gearing up again I wanted to check in and say I’m still very much alive. I hope summer treated everyone well, but I’ll just be honest and say that I am plenty ready for autumn. This will be a very heavy term for me, so I would appreciate prayers that I would seek and trust in Christ’s sufficiency during this season when I’m tempted to rely on my own strength. Let me know if there are any ways I can be praying for you as the academic year begins!

ive trying to consciously make studying enjoyable, but also rigorous and productive lately. started by downloading forest and tidying up my desk (a very good mix of art and law obvs). today is day one. hope everyone is staying safe.
