Finished showing my sister gravity falls today. She really liked it.

This rewatch has made me realize that gravity falls is more than just 40 episodes of animation. Because gravity falls is also the community that watched the show, that found every secret, theorised on every tiny part. It's a show best watched with someone by your side. Someone to bounce ideas and theories off.

It's special, it's a show that encourages the audience to over analyze, to get crazy and make weird theories that are completely insane, because if you're wrong then there's no harm done, and if you're right, then you can take pride in knowing you were correct.

It's a series that I have loved since I saw it for the first time around 2013, that hooked me so hard I immediately caught up on everything and followed the series week by week until it was over. And I'm glad I could share it with my sister, who was too young to even know the show was on while it was airing.

On a final note, I'd like to say that if anyone out there has seen this show and knows someone who hasn't, try to convince them to watch it with you, because it feels amazing to watch someone else discover what makes the show so special. I've already made plans to eventually watch the show again with a friend, who will probably see this (you know who you are. Also hi! Glad you made it this far!).

So I had an idea randomly the other day and now the internet must suffer for it. A new pokemon battle format I call:

Hot Potato

After each turn, players swap consoles.

Here are the rules

Players must be in the same physical location (because I have no idea how to make this happen without that being a rule).

Players need to bring a full team of 6 pokemon.

Any generation can be used.

Players can decide between themselves if there should be any restrictions on what pokemon are used (e.g. no legendaries, no explosion)

At the start of each turn, players swap consoles.

The winner is the player who holds the console that says it won.

I haven't played this but I told a few friends and we started thinking about weird dumb strategies you can do. Bringing a full team of six came about because I realized you could bring a pokemon that can just knock itself out immediately and, like, a level 1 Magikarp and just win turn 2.

If anyone wants to try it out and tell me how it goes, please do. I'm genuinely curious to know if this is actually fun lol.

I have had the pleasure recently to show gravity falls to my younger sibling who is young enough to have not been aware of the show until now. Genuinely having a blast trying to remember all the secrets and codes, while she's excitedly taking in every little detail. Genuinely an amazing show to this day
