I thought itād be fun to share some of the meanings/reasons why I chose some characters names! Some have more thought than others... I mean most of these names I chose like... Ā over 10 years ago.
From Norse mythology,Ā ā GrĆĆ°r ā was a giantress who aided Thor by supplying him with stuff to help against Loki. The name seems to have conflicting meanings since the word comes from āgreedā, vehemence, violence, impetuosity -- but as a name it meansĀ āpeaceā.Ā
Even though the meanings are are on opposite ends of the spectrum, they fit Grid in a way... ;)
From the Japanese word forĀ āspringā. I think most people are familiar with spring symbolism to a certain degree... transitions, renewal, etc..
I also thought it would be super cool to have chars named after the four seasons... in a true weeaboo fashion. HAHAHsd Iāve thought about just having these as aliases to soften..modernize the story but Iāve gotten too used to them so Haru he stays.
From the Greek personification ofĀ ādeathā. Thanatos was associated with peaceful death which is why heās not generally a violent person despite his abilities. Thanatos was also the sibling of Hypnos (sleep) and thatās alluded to in the fact that he spends a lot of his time sleeping LOL.
From the religious symbol of a crucifix as well as the basic meaning to cross... to pass or interrupt... You also canāt have aĀ āgridā without crossing lines-- kinda an obvious reference to how Cross is meant to play a supportive role.
From the latin wordĀ lÅ«xĀ meaning light... so basically the Church of Luxis is the Church of Light LOL. Also luxury...
