ooh i actually have a playlist for cascade since all the alex chapters are titled after songs that i've diegetically placed in the chapter and i decided to keep a playlist for them to eventually post when it's finished

i think the one that most makes me think of cascade (for now, i bet i'll pick up more in time) is probably out at sea by les gold

someday i'll have a better answer for this... i haven't done a lot of fic reading still, mainly because of limited free time + when i read i tend to either bounce off hard or get so invested i don't sleep or eat until i'm done lmao

16. At what point in the process do you come up with titles?

there is absolutely no consistency with this lmao i've had fics where i had the title before i even really had a plot, i've had fics that even after publishing i'm still second-guessing the title i used, i've come up with titles in the middle of writing, sometimes i think i have a title but in the eleventh hour i have a lightbulb moment and change it... it's alllll vibes

20. What’s a favorite title for a fic you’ve written?

ooh... there are actually a few i'm pretty pleased with. running wild had a lot of iterations before landing on that and i still feel good about it. once upon a midnight i actually put down without initially connecting the poetry-about-grief reference until after the fact and i love a happy accident. gather your party i'm still proud of for the triple meaning it has (an actual party, gathering an rpg party, coming together as a group) because it's just so fitting to work in threes. and although this fic doesn't get a lot of attention - which is okay, it's very specific - i really like one swallow does not a spring make both for the actual content of the swallow tattoo plus the original meaning of that excerpt

when i can layer a few meanings and symbols together that's what makes me most happy with a title, which is probably evident
