I must appreciate that although Winter Begonia is filmed after BL novel, the producers doesn’t try to hide anything.

Every word that Fengtai say, every gaze he gives to Xirui, every act is telling 100% how he loves him. And from the opposite side too. And Xirui trupe know it too.

To be honest, I haven’t read the novel (no english trans), but even hundred Guardian and Untamed is only 1% of “bromance” in Winter Begonia.

Now I’m done with Fengtai. Like nowadays we take a photos and videos of our beloved, he wants to film everything about Xirui. They aren’t really hiding the fact that it is BL, even censored. Love it. Love it and love it.

Yin Zheng as Shang Xirui (a rant)

(please ignore if you don’t like my rant. It is just that I have been seeing this like everywhere)

I just want to say something for Yin Zheng (mah babie)

I can’t believe people are complaining that Yin Zheng ain’t beautiful enough to play Shang Xirui.

Like dude, Shang Xirui ain’t just a pretty face. His whole character has psychological intense and emotional scenes. Xirui is innocent in understanding the world yet his temper is like a raging bull. Plus he is good at martial arts. He is such a character and more.

My man Yin Zheng delivered such a lovable Shang Xirui. I know the novel Shang Xirui is describe as young and beautiful, but he is still complex character.

There are many who can look ethereal on camera. I know.

But Yin Zheng did more than that, because the requirement for this role is a lot.I really don’t want to spoil the major points. You have to see.

Yin Zheng ain’t the most pretty one out there, but his delivery- I can’t imagine anyone else playing Shang Xirui. This Xirui is already too good. Yin Zheng worked really hard in this and just putting on the costumes ain’t easy. Learning opera is so difficult. Portraying a character is difficult because of course the novel is totally different.The excitement is getting know what kind of Shang Xirui he will give us. And he delivered so well.

Can’t believe all of this is overlooked because of “he is not beautiful enough”.

My gosh.

I am upset by people who are really just in it if someone looks like your standard Wei Ying and Lan Zhan from The Untamed.Or if their faces are as delicate as a doll.

Well, I must have different tastes then. that is ok.
