Cormorant fishing in Yangshuo near Guilin, Guangxi, China. Christian Vaisse
Cormorant fishing is an old tradition in which fishermen use trained cormorants to catch fish.
I can't find any mention of a photographer Christian Vaisse that's not reblogs of this post, but I want to add smth about this guy:
Most cormorant fishermen are essentially historical re-enactors, who post for photos for money. Sort of like the Elmo guys in Times Square, if they dressed up as pilgrims.
Lao Huang, photographed here by Peter Yan, actually grew up doing real cormorant fishing for a living. He's now retired, and does this more as a hobby (although he does make a good income from breeding the birds). As such, he's one of the few remaining authentic links to this pre-industrial fishing technique.
More photos and an interview with the photographer

A second thought save them all from my provoked rage...Where is Louis?

Hanging out with people will make you remember you're the crazy woke friend for like. not wanting to shop at shien
there are a lot of Extremely Married moments in good omens, but I maintain that the Most Married moment is when crowley says out of nowhere, âducks! theyâre what water slides off.â and aziraphale heaves a deeply put-upon sigh and says, ââŠ.just drive the car.â
a close runner up is when Aziraphale wants to do magic at Warlockâs birthday party and Crowley just goes, âMake you disappearâ, and Aziraphaleâs not put out in the slightest
and third place goes to âOh Lord, heal this bikeâ
âNot you, I know what you smell like.â
Iâm sorry, but the Most Married Moment is the compromise:
A: âYou lost the child.â C: âWe lost the child.â A: âA child has been lost.â
aziraphale: wow canât believe iâm going to get discorporated by the french revolution because i canât miracle myself out of hereâŠsure wish SOMEBODY would come and SAVE ME because i canât do it BY MYSELFâŠsure wish SOMEBODY with MAGIC POWERS could come GET ME OUT OF THIS MESS crowley: angel, what the fuck aziraphale, miracling himself into a new outfit immediately: good youâre here letâs get crepesÂ
