How likely would you be on a Toonami Fiathful Podcast future episode as a guest or interviewed?

It's not likely. I'm not working on anything that the podcast would want to interview me for, nor am I really up to date with Toonami these days.

Would you ever be open to returning to the Toonami Faithful Podcast full time?

No, I'm done with the podcast. I did everything I wanted to do with it, and now it's Sketch's to run. There's other things I'm more interested in doing, and I hope you'll keep an eye out for those projects.

Hey, why was your appearance on the show so short on episode 200 of the Toonami Podcast?

I had dinner plans that evening with someone important. Originally I was going to record my congratulations and send them in ahead of time, but my schedule got so crazy, that at the very last minute, I told Sketch that I would be available for 5 minutes and then I had to leave, which is why I was so rushed!

I know you don't seem too enthusiastic about the LA Gits but seeing how they look to be using the SAC story do you hope they try to get Yoko Kano on board for the music? I know it's not very likely but it would be cool.

They won't use any of the original music or contact Yoko Kanno, but that would be really cool if they did. Though, if they got Ryuchi Sakamoto (who is pretty well-known for his pioneering electronic music, and I believe has provided soundtracks for American films before) I would be pretty excited.

Hey man, love the new IGPX set. I was wondering if you could ever put it on Blu-ray? I'd really love to see it in HD, along with the original pilot, which I enjoyed more!

As for Blu-ray, there’s currently no plans to put it on Blu-ray, which is truly a shame because the show was 100% animated in HD. However, there are a couple of roadblocks on it. We would need the masters. Our tape masters (which were as pristine as they get) were only in SD (but very high-grade SD, they were masters after all). The other issue is it seems that IGPX was edited together in the Avid into SD. That applies to all 3 versions (I.G. Japanese and English, and Toonami). So we would have to get the original digital assets from Production I.G. and edit together the show from scratch, twice. Technically, we could just upscale the masters we have now, and put them on Blu-ray, but that would short change you (the audience) and frankly the show. There is an upscaled version available, but it’s only for [adult swim]’s use for broadcast or streaming.

As for the original pilot, that was not made in HD. We pulled from the best assets in the world to rebuild it. What’s on DVD now is the best it’ll ever look.
