It's fascinating how the placement of a single finger by a few degrees changes the entire dynamic

1. I will always find it weird for an adult to think a child is being "manipulative" because a child quite literally doesn't have the brain development to understand what manipulation is or why they shouldn't be manipulative.
2. Yes, Disabled adults *can* be manipulative, as any adult can be. However, I think it's important to realize that Disabled people are somewhat set up to be strategic in order to get needs met. This can essentially train us to lean into manipulative behaviors. Direct and clear communication is often not only inconsistent, but we are also at high risk if it fails. This means that we can be placed in a similar state of vulnerability as children, where we simply have to be strategic to survive (or at least that is the instinct).
go watch the wpbl.
there’s lesbians covered in mud. there’s a mascot that’s 80% awesome and 20% problematic. there’s Chappell Roan over the loudspeakers. there’s legends of women’s athletics throwing the first pitch and little children watching the future unfold from the stands. there’s Springfield, Illinois. there’s misogynistic weather. there’s people in the comments section on YouTube actively explaining the rules to newbies who are interested in the sport for the first time because it exists for them too now. there’s some rough times in the outfield. there’s stars from banana ball and little league and the olympics. there’s insane comebacks in the final inning. there’s commentators breathlessly anticipating a future full of equal access to development programs and athletic specialists. there’s a lot of wind.
go watch the wpbl there’s a chance to witness the beginning of something new and cool.
there's no trans women because it's segregated
"now it exists for them too" not for trans women and girls it fucking doesn't @aruddyduck
couldnt help but notice you responded to everyone's replies on this post except the ones from trans women about your cowardly "women's" league segregating us out
do we harsh the vibes of your breathless "equal access" circlejerk? perhaps you'd prefer to segregate us from public life entirely @aruddyduck
"I will also celebrate the [segregated league] as a step for inclusivity....the [segregated league] does represent hope for a lot of women"
"you are making a lot of assumptions about me"
@aruddyduck do mirrors also "make a lot of assumptions about you"?
wait, all this glazing for a segregated league, and they only even do 7 innings?? LMFAO
15 player rosters, 4 teams, and they all share a home stadium
the league runs from august to mid september (6 week season+postseason lmao), aka near the end of the MLB season and one of the worst times to have a baseball league if you want people to actually watch it. the only worse time you could possibly schedule it is during the actual World Series
it's an embarrassment on all levels
AND it's run by zionists!
> watch a movie that is “foundational queer media”
> it sucks
> watch a movie that is “foundational queer media”
> it’s transmisogyny
Well it being black history month is reminding me how I wanted to doodle something like this down for a while. Since it’s been a lil detail I always take notice of in drawings. These are very simple depictions but I hope it’s enough to give the general idea! Feel free to reblog
[Image description taken from alt: Drawing Scars on Brown/Dark Skin. The left illustration is how cuts and burns looks on brown and darker skin. Top level is the common depiction of using light pink to color it. So no melanin? typically not how most scars look. Of course there’s the condition of raised scars or stretch marks which could look lighter! Next row is showing how they are when scabbing which is reddish and dark. Third row is an aged, finished scar. Burns are marbled in look. They're darker than the skin tone. Last row shows how a fully or nearly fully healed scar, it's lightly visible but still darker than skin tone. Right illustration is a torso with scars with a diagonal cut to show the difference between left and right side. Left has pink light scars, healing? Or just an oversight? Right has darker colored scars. Normal. Same applies to top surgery scars. For recent surgeries that alter the areola, it is pink as it heals (nipples are pigmented on dark skin btw so it’s a weird look) After full care and recovery they’ll look normal (dark). End description.] @a-captions-blog
remember how utterly inescapable how i met your mother used to be with the memes and references and barney and bro code and wait for it... and then the finale was so hated it vanished overnight
The finale so successfully erased the show from public consciousness, that when people tried to come up with a name for the "extremely popular show with finale so bad that people just immediately stop talking about it" phenomenon, people called it... the Game of Thrones Effect. HIMYM got memoryholed so hard that people forgot it even existed
I have GOT to stop spending $30
this is one of the more creative hate comments i've seen and i felt the need to immortalize it
