Jackass gets Intatutionalized and falls in love (kinda)! Sum gud ol morally gray scientist getting seduced by their morally fucked experiment/patient, doomed to relapse over and over again in his attempts to "rehabilitate" the first Core Mite, discovering the worst parts of himself that he's been fighting to ignore. The critter whimsy common amongst mites is one thing, but what is threatening to surface is much, much darker. Guilt is his only lifeline.
Jackass would learn a thing or two about herself as well. Being drugged up with just the right amount of whatever hellish substances the colony has created has made her a bit more mentally sound, enough to open up about things she has long forgotten. Wanted to clean up an unused pot in the backyard for my avocado plant and I noticed a jumping spider nest, in my attempt to move it, I didnt realize it was full of eggs and I ended up crushing a few as the poor female watched...
This has been haunting me all day, so why the hell not recreate it with a meek mother and a garbage bag or something.
Is there a cute story behind how Mariela got Rosie the velvet ant? Or do the mouse equivalent of petshops sell animals like Velvet ants and other bugs as pets?
Also do some bugs take the place of livestock like Spiders and caterpillars being used to make fabric? Or bigger bugs being used as steads?
Sorry for the question bomb I got to thinking about mousworld and bugs and well it's become a new fixation.
I don't think velvet ants are especially common as pets, but bees, silkworms, and spiders could definitely be used like farm animals. Crickets/grasshoppers mostly for meat (Chapulines anyone?) Darkling beetles could be like little doggies.
