The Need To Shop || Ariel and Kaelin
"I could, if you like. With permission from your father of course." He laughed. He didn’t mind. He was a cautious driver and if it could keep her from hurting herself then he would happily give her lessons. Kaelin looked after all of the girls. Even if he had no reason too. He was loyal to those he cared for. Even if he didn’t know all of the girls that well, he cared for them. He wasn’t sure why, really. But he’d always cared for each of them since he met them. He chuckled when she commented on the blinker. "I believe you’ll have a tough fight, between Alina and your father." He grinned. "But perhaps i in time, you’ll be able to. I do recommend wearing your glasses." It couldn’t hurt after all. If they were needed, it was simply safer.
"There are tricks to cooking bacon, and a good burger… and if done properly, they’re not too bad for you." They certainly weren’t the best… but he loved such things when cooked right. And he might be a bit picky due to actually having taking cooking courses for quite a while. He exercised enough that he worked it off, anyway. "Well, then you’ll have take extra care to ensure you remain in one piece then, won’t you?" He teased.
"Why do we need permission from my father? I've got a license. I think the rest of it is out of his hands." Ariel sighed while she leaned against the seat, awkwardly trying to shift herself in the seat. "Alina and my father worry far too much. We'd all be better off if I was just left alone a little bit. It's a well known fact that people do better when they don't have someone breathing down their neck. I mean, honestly Alina just found out that I'm not failing out of high school and I think she'd pleasantly shocked. I just couldn't deal with the constant pressure, so I let them all think I wasn't do will, less pressure to succeed, more pressure to just do something. I needed the grades to get the car though and well, you see how well that works out." She glared at her cast for a moment before looking up at him, "And you don't care about any of this. Sorry, I'm rambling. But um... yeah. Glasses." She made a face and looked at him, trying not to seem as stupid as her next words would make her sound, "Don't judge me too much, but... Well they just make me look like such a nerd."
"I'm not a great cook, I mean, I can do okay, I make most of my own food and I'm still alive. My cooking skills are just a little rough. I eat macaroni and cheese three times a week, at least. The whole family dinner thing ended with Alina moving out, our house is a free for all right now and I've gotten pretty good at making food, better than Arianna at least, she just goes out every night with a different guy to pay for her food. Half the time I'm too lazy to cook and just go eat with Finn... Cooking is good though, cooking is... Great." Ariel looked down at her leg again, trying to find something to say that wasn't awkward, she'd only ever been friends with Finn, so talking with people outside of her family for extended periods of time made her social awkwardness come out. Even if it was with someone that she'd known for most of her life. "I suppose I will, oh and let's not forget that Alina will kill you if I come back in any condition other than perfect."
