Context: My party is in the Amber temple and they have finally started accepting dark gifts, our rouge tabaxi was the first to accept a gift and now has 2 hellhounds at her command. They are still uncovering more sarcophagi.
Tabaxi: What’s this one????
DM: his is the gift of Drizlash, the nine eyed spider. This gift gives you the power to walk on walls and ceilings-
Tabaxi: I accept the gift.
DM: Yea?
Tabaxi: Yea!
DM: Okay you get lifted into the air and this time a eye pops up in the middle of your forehead, when you hit the ground you are disoriented and stumble to another sarcophagi and put your hands on it. You immediately accept another gift.
Tabaxi: WHAT?!
DM: You rise into the air and when you descend all your teeth fall out.
Tabaxi: Damnit
DM: You start going for ANOTHER sarcophagi-
The rest of the party: NO!
And the rest of the party wrangles this toothless, three eyed, hellhoud whisperer so she doesn’t accept anymore gifts.
