Israel has constructed severe famine through continuous bombing of infrastructure, months of blockades, and sabotaging efforts for humanitarian groups to distribute aid. 98.5% of Gaza's cropland has been destroyed or made inaccessible by Israel's ecocide.

Thousands of people have been brutally injured or killed by the Israeli military and mercenaries at the GHF death traps since they opened just a couple months ago.

90% of Gaza's 2.4 million residents have been displaced, and the death toll since 2023 has surpassed 61,000, many of whom were children and babies. The Israeli military occupation controls 75% of Gaza, and on August 7, Israel's security cabinet approved Netanyahu's plan to occupy the rest of Gaza.

This stage of genocide has received public criticism from many, even including some allies of Israel such as the British Prime Minister, the French Foreign Minister, the German Chancellor, the European Council President, and the European Commission President. As of writing this, this criticism has not translated into any meaningful change in policy. These leaders think statements can distract from their bloody hands while they still fund and directly benefit from the genocidal settler-state of Israel.

UN high commissioner for human rights released a statement saying: "The Israeli Government's plan for a complete military takeover of the occupied Gaza Strip must be immediately halted." But what is the UN doing to empower Palestine?

We must not place undue weight on statements. What matters is action. Israel's access to the tools of genocide must be severed, and Palestine's access to the resources of survival must be given immediately.

My friend Fadel needs urgent medical attention. He survived the bombing of his home, but has not been able to afford travel to a hospital that has the resources to remove the shrapnel from his body. He is in constant pain, and needs monthly medication for his disability. The cost of food is high, and his family can only afford bread with a consistent stream of donations. They are starving.

We must do everything in our power to prevent Israel from accessing support, resources, and aid. While we organize to deny Israel from accessing the material, structural, and social support to continue genocide, we must also do what we can to sustain Palestinian survival by offering support, resources, and aid to Palestinians.

My friend Mahrah (@mahrahpalestine) is trying to survive. She is living in Gaza with her family. Her dad is disabled with osteoporosis, diabetes, and high blood pressure, all conditions made so much more severe with malnutrition and traumatic stress.

She has been fundraising for a long time but has only raised $39,466 (€33,821). You have heard of the surging commission rates. You have heard of the price gouging of food and medical supplies. This is not enough.

Today she shared with me her fears that the donations coming in to her campaign are too infrequent to afford food. Her mother has lost 27 kilos already. They are starving and afraid.

Sometimes it is quite depressing to be on Tumblr. I recently had to block another account saying shit like 'Gaza deserves to be bombed' on a Gazan's post saying how the children have not eaten anything for days. There are so many Palestinians asking for support because they are literally starving to death and yet the majority of blogs here wouldn't even share a fundraiser post. These donations to families in Gaza are literally life-saving! And when they are asked to share these posts, they just ignore them because they don't think these fundraisers are 'trustworthy enough'. Ok, some of you are asking how the fundraisers are vetted out of genuine concern for Palestinians in Gaza, I understand and I'm always happy to provide info on how fundraisers on Tumblr are vetted (x, x, x, x, x, x), but so many of you are using this as an excuse to make yourself feel better about ignoring starving Palestinians being killed and not helping them.

Ibrahim (@aburakhiaibrahim) is starving. His family consists of 28 people and there is no food for them to eat. Yesterday he tried to get the food from the airdrop, but because the aid landed very close to the army, he couldn't go and get the food or else he would be killed. They could only turn to the markets for food, which is very expensive. I am asking you to please help.
