that part in code veronica where chris says he was able to find claire because leon told him vs chris in lanshiang looking for leon before the outbreak happened vs the last scene in requiem where leon says he has no idea where chris could be right now

anyway, i guess from the game itself, the only thing i'm really gonna be taking from re9 are the following:

the bsaa is under control of the us government and the connections. this really puts context now into why they wanted to shut down the investigation regarding the bakers and the dulvey incident, and also why the bsaa came to the village.

it was also mentioned that the bsaa north america branch is basically working independently, which warrants an investigation itself.

the connections have mastered the best cloning technology so far, which they use to make bioweapons. gives an explanation why the bsaa was able to use bioweapon soldiers when they raided the village. this also explains zeno i guess, since you will not convince me he is not a wesker clone.

the bioterrorism race is moving really fast and really dangerous now. after the reveal that gideon is actually a nemesis and not just another infected person, it really showed that the bioweapon market is not staggering. the existence of an intelligent bioweapon of this caliber is also lowkey scary.

possible new canon write up:

after the events of requiem, and getting all the details leon and sherry were able to get from ark, chris and the hws are more determined than ever to hunt down the connections. also seeing how deep the corruption runs in the bsaa, chris will really need to hold on to the few people that he trusts, and make sure to only involve them and no other organization.
