I feel like I need to share this horror of a scientific book illustration. My prof shared it in class as an example of raccoon (yes, it’s supposed to be a raccoon) and the relative abundance of nerves. The key takeaway was how many nerves can be found in their grabby little hands, but my main takeaway is that raccoons are even more terrifying on paper than in real life.
