Was armando attracted to betty before the plan?

This is a question i have made myself many times, the first time i saw the novela i thought he wasnt, but now that ive seen it like 4 times im pretty sure he was, he always felt something for her, maybe he wasnt in love but he was definetly attracted, maybe for her inteligence or her loyalty, and we can see that repeatedly on the first half of the novela.

the first time was probably the most obvious, in one episode, i cant remember wich one specificaly he yells at patricia while she was crying and tells her that theres nothing he hates more than women who cry, but its completly different when Batty cries, for example, when she got promoted and he gaves her his “bayetilla” (i dont know how its called in english) and the second (and for me the most important) one was when all the drama with Olarte and the computer happened, this one shows how Betty wasnt just a machine (which everyone thought) or any other women for him, she was special because even after the big problem he thought she put him in, he still treated her better even than Karina Larson, who was a women that he considered attractive.

the second one is much subtle, i think it was episode 26 or smthing when they were talking on the boardroom and while they were talking they got closer and by the end of the conversation their faces were very close, and you can see how armando starts looking at betty, and at one point he stops at her lips for like 2 seconds, it isnt for very long but its really clear, and after he notice this he takes a step back. the first time i saw the novela i didnt notice this, but after that its probably my favorite scene, and i really think that by the time he was already catching feelings for her, and thats not the only magic thing about that moment, in the scene betty was playing with armandos anti-stress ball (which by the start of the novela was really important for him) and you can see how her face lights up as he starts talking about them as a team, even if he was talking about bussines, its an important moment and it was obviously not there by accident.

and thats all, i know my writing is kinda shitty but i wanted to point that out.

Also, “the cartel of uglies”, more like “the cartel of assholes” amirite, like Marcela’s been acting as a personal therapist to at least two of them yet they can’t stop themselves from gossiping about the worst day of her life?

Holaaa, les quiero escribir esto en español porque obvio se me hace mas facil comunicarme. Quiero ser super franca y breve con ustedes sooo

Trataré de seguir escribiendo OS y continuando mis historias. Honestamente estoy muy desmotivada pero no es ese el verdadero motivo por el q abandone esta cuenta por como 2/3 meses. La verdad es que no tengo como ver YSBLF, y siento q no puedo escribir sobre eso sin sentir q realmente conozco a los personajes. Ya esta en prime y probablemente el próximo año pueda contratar el servicio pero aun no lo sé. Siento muchísimo el haber abandonado a esta comunidad q aunque es super chiquita sentí como un grupo super lindo de amigos para comentar la telenovela de manera mas profunda. Aun sigo super amando Betty la Fea y cuando tenga el tiempo para verla y reconciliarme con los personajes voy a tratar de complacer todas las ideas de historias que me dejaron en uno de mis posts. Nunca había pensado en eso y ultimamente no he tenido tiempo para ver la novela, asi que es probable que no se apegue muy bien mi respuesta, pero aquí va y espero no decepcionarte zjskja:

Mario inmediatamente le contaría a Armando, él desesperado le explicaría la verdad del plan a Betty y le rogaría el perdón, y yo honestamente pienso que ella le creería y lo perdonaría, recordemos que cuando él le dice que la ama, la noche anterior a la junta directiva, ella le cree, y por eso decide maquillar el balance.

Ya con Betty de nuevo de su lado, Armando comenzaría a tomarse la relación super enserio, y habría muchas escenas super cutes de él llevándola a citas y regalándole cosas porque la culpa lo consumiría. Ambos estarían super bien con su relación, pero Daniel Valencia ya habría comenzado a sospechar de Betty por el Mercedes de Nicolás, y finalmente confirmaría cualquier duda el día del defile, cuando su amigo le cuenta el "rumor" de que Ecomoda está embargada. El día de la junta directiva Daniel llega con el boletín de comercio en el que se establece, no solo que Ecomoda está embargada, sino que está embargada por Terramoda, la empresa de Beatriz. El caos comenzaría, pero ahora todos culparían a Betty de todo aunque Armando sí la defendería en la junta. Al finalizar la reunión, Armando hablaría con Marcela para cancelar la boda, ya no hay razón para que continúe. Ella no tendría una explicación porque él no le contaría que Betty fue su amante (supongo que Betty se lo pediría, recordemos que ella estaba súper avergonzada de estar con un hombre comprometido).

Al inicio se pelearía porque Betty cese con el proceso, para que Ecomoda vuelva a los Mendoza y a los Valencia, pero se darían cuenta que es inútil, los bancos inmediatamente los embargan. Así que Betty procede con el embargo hasta que Ecomoda salde sus deudas. Aquí pasaría algo supere raro, y es que no sé si accederían a que ella fuera la presidenta, si con el cambio de look les costó, más les costaría con la Betty desarreglada e insegura, y al final decidirían que Armando presida la empresa, pues al final no hay nadie más que pueda hacerlo, porque Daniel Velencia solo piensa en disolverla. Armando consultaría todo con Betty, prácticamente ella sería la presidenta y él solo actuaría bajo su comando. Su romance continuaría a escondidas un par de meses hasta que él, harto de que Marcela lo presione para volver, le confiesa que tiene algo con Betty y que la ama. Ella desde un inicio sabría que no hay nada más que hacer, y después de una gran escena por haberse enamorado de su asistente "fea", se iría de Ecomoda, no sin antes contarle a Roberto y Margarita toooodo el drama. Finalmente, comenzarían una relación formal súper difícil, porque yo sé que en el fondo, a Armando le habrían entrado los complejos de tener que ir a lugares concurridos por su gente, con Betty. Honestamente creo que la historia habría terminado feliz, con la pareja junta, pero no sería lo que es. Sin el cambio de Betty se le quita el sabor y la sensación de que realmente todo lo que pasó llevó a ambos protagonistas a que las adversidades valieran la pena. Además no hay escena de Marcela contándole la verdad a Betty, ni Armando leyendo el diario de Betty (que según él, fue lo que le hizo darse cuenta de lo destruida que realmente la había dejado). Y TAMPOCO CELOS POR EL FRANCÉS, y eso es impermisible.

Yo creo que Fernando Gaitán hizo un muy buen trabajo escribiendo la historia, y por más variantes que pienso, donde técnicamente los protagonistas tendrían que ser más felices, la historia se cae al final, porque fue todo ese dolor lo que construyó una relación super fuerte, y lo que finalmente los termina cambiando para bien a ambos.

Bueno si hay alguna incoherencia o ustedes creen que algo cambiaría déjenlo en los comentarios porque esta variante está super interesante:)

Thanks for the question:) and sorry for lasting so long:( Well it’s really hard to know, but here is what I think:

Armando would keep kissing Betty, I honestly don’t think he would have r4p3 her or something. Do you know how she always ended giving up and kissing him back?? well thats what I think it would’ve happened. Now im giving to alternatives:

Paty, Margarita and Marcela actually entering Armandos office, which would’ve lead to they all watching them make out and Marcela going fucking insane. In this version Betty would’ve been fired, because obviously Margarita and Roberto would’ve support Marcela. Now this is something really hard to define: What would happened with Armando and Marcelas weeding?? Well Marcela would probably break up everything at first, like she did in the novela, then Daniel Valencia would’ve asked to divide the company and they would’ve found that its seized by Betty. I think all the legal process would be the same as in the novela. Now my favorite part bc i love romance: Armando is unemployed because he refuses to stop the relation with Betty. Betty hasn’t talk with Catalina yet, so no Cartagena plans. They are both in the same city and Armando is determinated to keep theyre relationship even though theres no more real reason, cause Betty is cooperating and doing everything the Mendozas and Valencias are telling her to. Armando would’ve show up everytime he could to Bettys house until someday he cofesses that hes in love with her to Doña Julia in order to convincing her to let him talk to her doughter. Betty wouldn’t believe Armando at first but hes determinated to show her his real change, so he keeps defending her in the boarding meetings and he accepts in front of everyone that he loves her. Lets remember there is not look change here so its not the happy ending we originally get, but at least they end up together. And of course Marcela. after seeing that Armando wouldn’t go back with her, leaves Ecomoda with Patricia Fernandez like in the novela.

Now the second version where there is no Paty, Marcela or Margarita. As I said I dont think that Armando would’ve raped her. I think here there isnt too much differences to the originally story, because at the end, for the pressure and pain that The Plan causes to Betty I think she woul’ve confess everything to Catalina Angel, who wouldve offered to take her to Cartagena and then basically the Telenovela would have been the same
