Hello and welcome!

This is a fan held event for fans of the characters Arthur and Morgana Pendragon from BBC Merlin and related Arthurian mythos. The event is open to all to participate (shipping these two characters is not a requirement in order to participate) and runs for five weeks starting November 28th, 2021 and running until January 1st, 2022.

Each week has a list of possible prompts to choose from (more on this down below). In order for your work to be accepted for the event and shared here on our blog it only must relate to Arthur and Morgana in some way, and by no means has to be intended as romantic, for us to consider it for the event. Likewise, the prompts serve as a starting point for you to start brainstorming ideas; you do not have to follow them to a tee if you would prefer not to. Also feel free to mix and match prompts between weeks. You don’t even have to post content related to the specific prompts of the week during that same week. As long as you tag your posts with #armormonth2021 we will reblog your work to share with others; there are no deadlines. Ultimately, we want this event to be welcoming to everyone in our fandom so we will be accepting all sorts of creations. Fics, fanvids, fanart, gifsets, graphics, playlists, headcanons, etc. are all welcome. Even your WIPs if they relate, we welcome you to share!

The prompts: As mentioned above, the prompts are just a starting place for you to get ideas. Feel free to run with them however you like and pick and choose whichever ones you feel drawn to. They are not listed in any particular order and nor do works related to any specific prompt have to be posted on a certain day of the week. Feel free to post your work whenever you would like. Just make sure to tag it with #armormonth2021 so we see it and can share it here on this blog.

ArMor Month 2021 - Week Five : The Mists of Avalon ( Free week)

“Morgaine,” Arthur whispered, “is it really you? I cannot see you, Morgaine, it is so dark here… is the sun setting? Morgaine, take me to Avalon, where you can heal me of this wound… take me home, Morgaine-” His head was heavy on my breast, heavy as the child in my own childish arms, heavy as the King Stag who had come to me in triumph. Morgaine, my mother had called impatiently, take care of the baby… and all my life I had borne him with me. The Coming of Morgana

Fandom: BBC’s Merlin (canon era) AU AU: The Pendragon Siblings

Long live Morgana Pendragon, Queen of Camelot.

Despite Agravaine’s meddling, Arthur manages to secure his throne with his secret blood sister at his side.

Spurred into action by the @armor-month-2021​. A manip with the power couple for this AU was on my to-do list, after an old, aborted attempt that will soon see the trash. Thanks to giving me the will to give this pair another chance, admins. ;)

In this AU Arthur and Morgana know about their siblings secret status and agree into an not-consumed wedding, although for all intents and purposes, to the eye of the court, people and neighbors they are a true couple. Only Gwen knows about their secret. But hey, don’t let this put you off: if you like ArMor as (intentional or not) incest be my guest. ;)

Happy Holidays everyone! Thanks for sticking with me! I hope you have a great holiday season if you're celebrating and that you're all doing well. This one is especially for you all. ❤

ArMor Month // Week Four // A song that makes you think of them

I’ve always loved how the relationship of Arthur and Morgana has been portrayed, it has been very interesting to me, the dynamic is incredible. Bradley James and Katie Mcgrath played those characters in an amazing way and that made me fall in love with these two fictional and historic figures even more. Since the beginning of Merlin I have listened to so many different songs, but only few of them makes me think of Arthur and Morgana everytime I hear them. I wanted to share them with you all :) :) :)

Other portrayal of Arthur & Morgana + some shippy ArMor quotes from the book

I really enjoyed this book, it's not flawless (far from it tbh) and honestly it would have benefitted from having more ArMor moments. Their relationship is rather complex in this one both relation wise and how they manage being with & without each other, they are quite codependent in this version. + Arthur is possessive of her 😏🤭. I also liked how this book gave back Arthur's agency as a character and not just being in the background of a love story of a Queen & Knight.

The moment that you started to ship them

To be honest when I was introduced to the Arthurian myths I was more focused on the forbidden love of Lancelot & Guinevere, and the love triangle with them and Arthur. But I was aware of Arthur & Morgan having Mordred whilst being related, but that's all I knew about them, cause as I said my focus was on a different pairing. And I also had an obsession with Tristan & Isolde. It wasn't until I watched BBC Merlin, S1 in particular that I began to ship them and once I did I looked into other books, films, shows that had their relationship in the centre of events. I can't really pinpoint the exact moment that I began to ship them but the Valiant episode certainly played a part and so did the scenes in which they showed to other characters how important they were to each other, like Arthur being so worried about her and so desperate to have her back that he agreed to let in a charlatan just for the slim hope of him being able to heal her. Or how ready Morgana was to tell Uther of her vision of Arthur dying just for the small of hope that it would stop it from happening, despite knowing that Uther would throw her in the dungeons or execute her due to having magic. And of course some of those rarer moments when they truly showed their vulnerability to each other and how much they cared. 🥺 And now I managed to turn this into a ramble of moments that I love with them, my bad.😅
