I have a headcannon that Battat prefers sleeping in middle of the bed as well (Basically he loves the heat that comes from Jongler and Pluey since he's sensitive to the cold).

it just so cute ksjsjs he needs to be close and cozy with other darkners so he feels safe while sleeping
