I'll elaborate on it (with Kodi's permission of course) for you all.

To keep it short and simple, Kodi's land decided it wasn't done with him and gave him some sort of soul quest, and I can only assume those have to get really deep into some topics that are far from ideal to confront. Whatever the specifics are, it seems like it would have been better to not throw Kodi into that. He's at least feeling up to posting again, so that's an improvement and a relief.
