JOHN DOE: Massachusetts 

The severely mutilated body of an African American male was found on June 4, 2014, in Sandwich, Massachusetts. Due to missing limbs, all traditional forms of identification were impossible. He was described as being roughly between 5′8-6′, and 220-230lbs. He had a scar on the right side of the abdomen that seems to indicate a possible hernia surgery. He was wearing a graphic t-shirt for a company called “Windustrial” (above). A two wheeled dolly was found near his body.

MISSING/ IN CRISIS: Daniel James Hollick

Daniel James Hollick (25) went missing on May 17, 2018 from Shamokin, Pennsylvania. The last contact from him was an extremely concerning facebook status. He said in the post that he couldn’t continue fighting his demons and that he had given most of his belongings to charity. He then concluded that “I walked over an hour in the woods off of I-81/Rt 901 so hopefully no one finds my body.“  Extensive searches have been made in the location that his phone last pinged, and in the woods off the highway he described. Police are also searching for his vehicle which is a  Blue 2006 Jeep Liberty with PA tag FMD 5169. The back spare tire has the word JEEP on the cover. 

He is between 5′11 and 6′0, and weighs between 140-150 lbs.

Beautiful Janette Roberson (27) had just moved to Reed City, Michigan, but already she, her husband, and their two children easily adjusted to their new community - Janette especially enjoyed her job working in a department store called Gambles, which was right in the Main Street of town.

On January 19, 1983, Janette was working the early afternoon shift at Gambles with several other women, doing stock take in the basement. It was a busy day at the store, and it was three hours before any other employee noticed Janette had not come out of the basement. A quick search yielded a horrific discovery; Jannette’s raped, battered body lying on the floor, surrounded by blood-stained bits of store merchandise.

An autopsy revealed Janette had been killed with several blunt instruments during store hours, while customers and employees walked overhead and past the basement doors. The police exhausted many hours questioning the dozens of people who had been in the vicinity, but only three statements stood out; several people had seen a young, white male hurrying around the store looking nervous in the time frame of Janette’s death. Police sketches were made of the man and a reward for information made, but months passed and not a single tip proved fruitful in catching Janette’s killer. Over thirty years later, her murder remains unsolved.

7 Uncaught Serial Killers

Jack The Ripper: Jack operated in Whitechapel, London, England. He has 5 confirmed murders that occurred in 1888. His victims were largely ladies of the night. There are several other murders that he is suspected of that occurred in the following years. Jack sent several letters to the police.

The Zodiac Killer: The Zodiac’s murders happened in the 1960′s and 1970′s in Northern California. He has 5 confirmed murders, but claimed to have killed 37. He wrote multiple letters to the police and the media. 

The Doodler: The Doodler killed 14 men in San Francisco between 1974 and 1975. He prayed on the gay community in the area, and at least 3 men survived being assaulted by him. He acquired his nickname because he would sketch the men before killing them.

The Babysitter: The Babysitter is responsible for the death of at least 4 children in Oakland County, Michigan between 1976 and 1977. The children were abducted and held captive for a short span of time before being murdered. 

Flat Tire Murderer: The Flat Tire Murderer killed at least 5 women in the Cutler Bay area of Florida in 1975. It’s believed he would deflate their tires, wait and offer assistance. Some theories say he killed up to 30 women.

Freeway Phantom: The Freeway Phantom killed 6 people in Washington D.C. between 1971 and 1972. His final victim had a note in his pocket which he signed, giving himself the Freeway Phantom name. Much of the files relating to this case have been lost and it’s since gone cold. 

Monster of Florence: The Monster of Florence committed 8 double murders in Florence, Italy between 1968 and 1985. They killed couples and often mutilated the women.

ENDANGERED MISSING: Mason Armani Gomez

Mason (19) was last heard from on February 13, 2016 in Baltimore, Maryland, 600 block of Wilson Avenue  . He was wearing a grey North Face sweater, black North Face jacket,  grey North Face pants, and red and white Nike sneakers. 

Mason was near his apartment last time he was seen. He was a loving father and was in a healthy relationship of 6 years at the time of his disappearance. There was no indication that he would have wanted to run from his life. Foul play is suspected and he is considered an endangered missing person. 

Mason was 6′0″ and around 150lbs. He has brown eyes, short hair and had a mustache at the time he went missing.

Cotard’s Delusion

Cotard’s Delusion, sometimes referred to as Cotard’s Syndrome, is very rare and was first recognized in 1882 by a neurologist by the name of Jules Cotard. Those suffering from Cotard’s delusion believe that they are missing body parts, lacking blood, dying, or already dead. On some occasions, the person believes that they have lost their soul. Others simply believe they don’t actually exist at all. People who are having Cotard’s Delusion often have other physical or mental illness, most commonly schizophrenia. One notable case was Richard Chase, an American spree killer who thought that his body didn’t have enough blood.

Richard Trenton Chase

Richard Trenton Chase was born on May 23, 1950. From a young age, it was apparent that Richard was troubled. He suffered from hypochondriacal delusions. He thought his skull had separated and that bones were moving freely in his head. He would wrap towels filled with orange slices around his head, convinced that it would make this stop. He thought the valves of his heart had been “stolen.” The most pronounced delusion though, was that he was running out of blood. Richard was impotent, and he concluded that he couldn’t get and maintain an erection because his body didn’t have enough blood. This delusion was the beginning of the end. Richard started mutilating and drinking the blood of animals. He once even injected himself with rabbit blood, which resulted in blood poisoning. He was put in a psychiatric hospital, but unfortunately wasn’t kept there long. Richard’s delusions only worsened, exacerbated by drugs, and culminated in the deaths of 6 people. Even though he was a diagnosed schizophrenic, he was convicted and sentenced to death. He never made it to his execution date, and committed suicide by overdosing on medication that he had been stockpiling.

MISSING:

Kimberly Avila (age 32) was last seen on May 13, 2017 in Brownsville, Texas. She is a transgender woman, and due to her unknown situation she may or may not be presenting as female. She may also use her legal name Ramiro Jr. Avila. In the early hours of the morning on May 13, 2017 a family member gave her a ride to the 1200 block of E. Washington Street in Brownsville, Texas. She hasn’t been seen or heard from since. She was last seen wearing a black wig, a black short sleeve dressy blouse, a black skirt, fishnet stockings and high heel stiletto shoes. She has brown eyes, but was wearing gray contact lenses at the time she disappeared.

Thomas Sweatt: One of the most prolific serial arsonists in America

Thomas Sweatt has set upwards of 300 fires in the Washington D.C area. Several of these fires resulted in deaths, making him not only an arsonist, but a murderer. Due to admittedly questionable logic, when Sweatt would see an attractive man on the street, instead of talking to him he would set fire to his property. He was arrested in 2005, and will spend the remainder of his life behind bars.

MISSING: Israhel Pablo Lorenzo, 

Israhel, age 22, was last seen on May 18, 2018 in Oakland, California. Though there is no official diagnosis, his family informed law enforcements that he has delays that cause him to function on the level of a 10 year old. He had told his sister that he wanted to “see the bridge and the lights.” She said this made her think he was going to the Golden Gate Bridge or the Bay Bridge. He does not drive or take public transportation so he would be on foot. 

Israhel has black hair and brown eyes. He is 5′4 and 160 lbs. His distinguishing feature is a mole on the side of his nose. He was last seen wearing                 Gray AeroPostale Hoodie, Navy Blue PacMan Tshirt, Blue Jeans, Gray Puma Shoes. He often walks hunched over with his hands in his pocket, and his hood up.
