I who have never known men, Jacqueline Harpman
ya whats crazy about I Who Have Never Known Men is that the evidence for all the answers to what happened couldve been right in front of her face and she wouldnt KNOW because she doesnt KNOW anything!!! when she was like "there were some weird science tools in this bunker. idk what they were" i was like ok that was prob part of the answer but we only have her words to describe things to us, the readers

sometimes i just think about this scene and laugh
me talking about horror to normal people: its not torture porn, horror is an incredible medium to explore personal complex emotions and the genre at large can really speak to a society's unspoken fears at a given time in history
me talking about horror to my pervert friends: ranking saw traps by how horny they are
Please tell me you mean “kinky” by this and not horny because there is nothing horny about being impaled by wooden or metal contraptions in any part of the body.
That’s a kink factor and I don’t go there.
To each their own though.
you're the normie I'm talking about in the first part of this post btw
Guy horror directors: and then we will cut to the scariest image of all.... Naked old woman with sagging boobs

"We deserve to have our wrongdoing represented as much as our heroism, because when we refuse wrongdoing as a possibility for a group of people, we refuse their humanity.”
Carmen Maria Machado “In the Dream House”
“you stare mutely at the dirty plate, and all you can think about is clara barton, the feminist icon of your youth who had to teach herself how to be a nurse and endured abuse from men telling her what to do at every turn, and you remember being so angry and running to your parents and asking them if women still got told what was right or proper, and your mom said ‘yes’ and your dad said ‘no,’ and you, for the first time, had an inkling of how complicated and terrible the world was.”
— carmen maria machado, in the dream house
On top of that, those who support this system have no problem with a felon being president.
Capitalist bootlickers often respond by saying that many people have retirement accounts that depend on the stock market, so it's good when rich people get richer because other people benefit too.
Their argument is literally "if it's happening, then it should happen". If elderly people's survival is dependent on rich people getting richer, you're allowed to say, "That's fucked up. It shouldn't work like that." Instead of having a system in which workers work hard to enrich the already rich and hope it trickles down to those who need it, why not have a system in which we get rid of the parasitic middle man and those same workers directly help those who need it?
Also, if we got rid of the parasitic capitalists, people wouldn't be living paycheck to paycheck. They'd be able to save for retirement. They'd be able to buy a house and have it paid off before retirement. And for those who are unable to save for retirement, there would be fewer people in that situation, so it would cost less to provide assistance to them.
