What if Iris only just recently transitioned, and the Perihelion is excited to inform everyone that as ships also go by she, and as it is also "transitioning" into a ship, it will also start using the pronoun.

No one is entirely sure if this is the Perihelion being supportive, a copycat thing, a machine learning thing, a younger sibling bid for attention, or what. But that's something for the university MI developers to worry about, bc socially speaking those are (mostly) all perfectly normal reasons for a person to begin exploring identity markers, and Iris and Peri are both having fun.
