Statement of Direction

(Tentative statement of direction)

This semester, I plan to practice drawing and shading environments and backgrounds. I have a tendency to focus purely on subjects and characters in my personal artwork, and my backgrounds are generally weaker because of this. To combat this issue, I plan to do many studies of environments, both indoor and outdoor, using pencils and markers. My end goal is to be able to create artworks of environments without the use of a one-to-one reference.
