I visited the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam today. The current exhibit is "Living in the Amsterdam School." #Amsterdamschool style is beautiful. It's similar to French Art Deco if you want a reference, but a bit edgier. These are a collection of Clocks from the period. #amsterdam #stedelijkmuseum #art #arthistory #museum

I wanted to start a tumblr/twitter and possible an IG later dedicated to art history.

I have a bachelor’s degree in Art History and wanted to share my love and passion for art. As well as share some of the funny things I find in art.

I am from Texas and live in the Netherlands now. I am learning Dutch and hope to one day work at a museum in Amsterdam. 

This gorgeous mosaic of Christ Mary Magdalena is located in H.H. Petrus en Pauluskerk (Papegaai) in Amsterdam, Netherlands and was created by Antoon Molkenboer (1872-1960). Mary was portrayed in a dress that reflected the fashion of the shoppers of the street that the church is located on at the time of the mosaic’s creation.
