Lupine Cottage

A CC Free Victorian Beachside Cottage

Lot size: 20x20 Price: §40,013 Lot type: Residential Location: Bedlington Beachhouse, Brindleton Bay

This build will be familiar to all of you who have downloaded Antiquated Brindleton, where it's previously been released as a cc-lite build. This build is really no fun to play without Romantic Garden, so in honor of it being free to download I wanted to release a cc-free version of it. It also gave me the chance to refresh it with some of the new assets we've gotten since then, and it's turned out so well.

This lot is potentially my favorite build I've ever done and I'm so in love with how it's turned out here. Even if you have the previous one, I'd certainly give this version a try, because humbly; I think it's better.

I'm not sure how many of you will recognize this lot, or have already, but it's based off the cottage from the children's book Miss Rumphius, which tells the tale of the lupine lady who spreads lupine seeds along Maine's roadways in the early twentieth century. You can see the inspo pics below as well as a shot of lupines in Maine in the spring, where they really do look like someone rode around just throwing seeds as they went. I highly recommend the book for any history lovers the illustrations are beautiful.

Lupine's are unfortunately not native to Maine and are considered invasive, so loving them does come with a smidgen of guilt, but luckily we don't have that problem in Sims.

I picture this cottage as the perfect home for your loner, spinster characters, and that's exactly who lives there in my save. This lot is in some ways a love letter to Maine and Brindleton Bay as I see it. So please enjoy.

This build is appropriately furnished for the late nineteenth to early twentieth century; no indoor plumbing and lots of candles. It's really only suitable for one sim as built, but could probably be edited quite easily for a couple. Fully playtested.

Your stomach grunts. Time to eat. But how? And where? Where are you? You get up. You’re on an island. Alone. And there’s nowhere to go… So.. what now?

Welcome to the Desert Island Challenge 🌴

This challenge is based on the movie Cast Away, but with a The Sims 4 twist.

Your sim is stranded in Sulani and has to survive. The goal is to survive on the island and eventually become one of the residents of Sulani.

For this challenge you will need the Island living pack.

Here it is, my first made challenge! I started playing this challenge because I ran out of ideas. I know it’s stupid to say, but I really liked playing this one. The Sims 4: Soffits - Roof Underside Pattern enabled

Have you ever cursed at these many roofs in the Sims 4 having such a dull gray soffit and only a handful of EA default ones show the roof pattern underneath? I did and I really despise this grayness so much. We still can't customize our own but, well, there is at least a solution to make all these roofs show their pattern as soffit now!

Enjoy a pleasant view of the roof from below now too! No more grey soffit showing, when your sims look up at their houses. Yay!

Please note that these are OVERRIDES! Other mods that edit these roof patterns will cause conflicts and won't work correctly if you put them together with mine!

Memento Mori Challenge Overview

memento mori me·​men·​to mo·​ri / noun a reminder of mortality

Your Sim finds themselves trapped in a cycle of life, death, and rebirth. In this constant flow of mortality with no relief, can you help them break their curse once and for all?

You will play the same Sim through multiple lifetimes, living, dying, and living again. You’ll need to complete tasks to earn Grim Tokens that you’ll turn around and spend to reveal Memento Mori objectives that you’ll also need to complete to win. But rebirth isn’t really something you can control: the whims of fate will decide who your Sim will become each life, making your ultimate goal all the more difficult.

The challenge ends when you earn enough Grim Tokens to reveal all Memento Mori objectives AND have completed all objectives.

Grief Tuning Mod

Death is hard. But maybe wallowing for two days in the passing of a Sim you've only talked to twice is a bit much? One of my Sims made friends extremely quickly, and after about a week of non-stop crying over Sims I didn't even recognize, enough was enough.

I modified the duration and/or weight of the Sad buff for "buff_DeathOfSim" files across relationship types. See specific details below the cut.
