thinking about jonathan sims and daisy tonner both feeling more like themselves than ever in the coffin because in there they were simply two scared people and not avatars. they felt their lightest when the weight of the world was pressing down on them. in this essay i will-

So you know how in EP 179 Basira says to Jon, "You apologize too much", to which he replies, "Martin says the same thing", and then Basira says, "Like he's any better"?

So yeah, this little interaction inspired me to crunch some numbers. And believe it or not, but Martin is, in fact, better!

Statistically speaking.

Over 5 seasons, Jon apologizes 122 times, while Martin apologizes 91 times.

The main difference between these two is that Jon apologizes more frequently and for everything (especially in S5), whereas Martin piles up multiple 'sorry's per apology.

Nothing illustrates that better than this little tidbit, which coincidentally comes from EP 179, as well!

EP 179 is *also* The Most Sorry Episode™: it sits at 9-4 with Martin in the lead!

YELLOW DOESNT REMEMBER TUESDAY!!!!

it took john A MONTH A THREE DAYS to figure out who he was, to gain any sort of knowledge about himself, you're expecting yellow to fucking speedrun that in less than 48 hours??

Yellow has taken no action of his own volition in the 3 DAYS hes been ALIVE

he is not the king in yellow, he doesnt have time to remember being the king in yellow, he is lying to arthur with every sentence trying to get any sort of control in the situation, but he remembers nothing

i dont know where people get the idea that he has any sort of blame for what happened to john and arthur in the prison pits. when he said he doesnt remember charlie thats not him being above it all he really has no idea who this guy is

he doesnt even know hasturs name or full titles when he announces himself in part 40, he only knows what he has been told. if johns been having amnesia issues because of 2 souls vying for control then yellow has been experiencing it too
