Holy shit I need to post more.
"We the People," inspired by illuminated manuscripts. All the flowers are beautiful but have meanings .
Narcissus for narcissists, rue for mourning, helenium and weeping willow for tears, poisonous datura, bitter sheep sorrel, snake-mouthed adder's tongue.
We the American people, surrounded by those who would keep us 'in our place.'

"Under the Sea," bead woven coral necklace, all round and cylinder seed beads.
Some day I will not be able to see the holes in these beads. Today is not that day.
"Breaking Free." My initial idea was about breaking the glass ceiling, but I struggled with how to achieve that in the time I had before the exhibition deadline (didn't get juried in anyway, but I'm happy with the piece). Keeping that thought in the back of my mind for a future piece.

First in my series, "From Death, Life I." Inspired by Old Gods of Appalachia. Almost called the series "The Green and the Dark," but went with a more decay and rebirth name.

Recently finished pieces based off da Vinci's ornithopter drawings. The piece is embroidered with glass, metal, and tiger eye beads, finished with soutache and metal bead edging, a chain with glass and metal beads, and a brass clasp.

Recently finished piece for a show called "What's Your Muse?" because this phrase is empty and makes me angry.
Dropping these three off tonight for a show called Mighty Minis. All of the pieces are 8"*8" in the show.

A piece I did for an upcoming show about the power of healing through art. It's called "L(eyes) I Tell Myself." Cotton embroidery thread, glass beads, mirror, paper on cradled wood board.
This one was very much art therapy for myself, with things I have said to myself over the years. I'm in a better headspace overall these days, but I do still have my days
Had an idea that I just had to make. After beheading Barbies for another project, I decided to go ham on taking more Barbies apart.

She's done and she's so pretty! Inspired by a Rorschach inkblot, this piece incorporates glass seed beads and crystals, soutache, leather (backing), and a metal toggle clasp

Some smaller pieces I've done lately. The butterfly is in a 3" hoop while the others are in 4" hoops. All mix needle felting and embroidery, with some bead embroidery and stumpwork. The bird and butterfly also featuring small bones
I've been struggling to find the bandwidth to work on larger pieces lately. I just started a new set of lungs, but I also need to finish two of my pieces for my solo show, and I have two deadlines coming up for other shows.
I just wanna get my ADHD test done.
