Hey there! This is my first overwatch rp blog so sorry if it seems a bit wonky! Anway, this is a oc overwatch blog. I'm oc friendly (duh) and feel free to ask my muse questions! This is a multiverse and multiship blog with an awkward mun who is very friendly so don't be scared to talk!
He couldn’t believe he was doing this, but, he was just...kind of in the mood. It hadn’t taken too long for Aukai to show up, slipping inside. His face was already flushed and he hadn’t even done anything “Gabe~?”
Aukai cocked his mouth to the side, yeah she did that. He let out a sigh before nodding. He never liked to push people too far on things, especially when they used the word please. “Fine, but if you change your mind let me know okay? I know my mom can be a little….opinionated one things but, she’s really nice when you get to know her. I just want you two to get along.” he explained, moving over to him and peering at the bouquet. “Give her something like this and I’m sure she’d love it, your flowers are so pretty.” he hummed happily, trying to lift the mood a little.
Masami blushed a little, turning away from Aukai a little in embarrassment at the compliment. “What are her favorite flowers?” He asked softly. He could entertain the notion of sucking up to his soulmate’s mother if only a little. “I’ll send a bouquet with you.”
“She likes hibiscus or birds or paradise.” He smiled a bit more softly. “Thanks, I know she’ll love them. At least now I know where I can get flowers for my house.” It really did make him happy that Masami was at least attempting something. It felt nice. His mom was a sucker for flowers. Putting them in her hair or making them into a lei. “You should come to the luau sometime. It’s fun. Food, dancing, and there’s a small street market where you can get wooden carvings and other things. I can reserve a seat for you, if you want.”
“She could ignore me. She likes to do that when you’re around.” He mumbled softly. He didn’t really want to get to know the woman. He was now content just saying hello then letting her be. Aukai may be his soulmate that didn’t mean he had to suck up to his mother. “Please leave me be on this.” He would suck it up on the holidays but today wasn’t one.
Aukai cocked his mouth to the side, yeah she did that. He let out a sigh before nodding. He never liked to push people too far on things, especially when they used the word please. “Fine, but if you change your mind let me know okay? I know my mom can be a little....opinionated one things but, she’s really nice when you get to know her. I just want you two to get along.” he explained, moving over to him and peering at the bouquet. “Give her something like this and I’m sure she’d love it, your flowers are so pretty.” he hummed happily, trying to lift the mood a little.
"I do not think me going along to lunch with you to meet your mother is a good idea. I know you want us to get along, but she does not." Masami muttered as he worked on another wedding bouquet that was due for pick up any minute now. - [for the painmate au if this is alright?]
“Oh come on Masami, it’ll be fine.” Aukai watched the other, leaning against a counter as he held a flower he had picked, twirling it in his hand. “I know if she’d like you if she just gave you a chance. She just needs a little nudge.” He really wanted the two to get along. His mother and his soul mate were important people in his life. It upset him that they weren’t close or really even in any form of relationship at all. “I’ll be there so what’s the worse that can happen?”
He didn’t small talk about his hobbies was all that important right now. But he might as well give the other something before talking about Aukai’s mother. “Puzzle books and reading. I mostly spend my time working…. Your mother, I.. She doesn’t like me.” He had noticed the air around her. It wasn’t hard to tell the woman was not pleased. He wasn’t sure if he should care or not. Sure Aukai was his soulmate but that didn’t mean he’d have to spend time with Aukai’s mother. “I run a flower shop. When you get better you can stop by.”
He didn’t waste any time did he? Straight to the point. He wasn’t sure whether that was good or not, Aukai tended to beat around the bush before going straight in. “Uh...She’s...just, didn’t expect....me to find my soul mate yet, I guess.” He would scratch the back of his head if he could. “I’m sure she’ll like you after knowing you.” He gave a smile in hopes to convince the other. Though as soon as a subject change came he jumped on the bandwagon.
“A flower shop? That’s nice, I have a lot of plants in my house. I’m, well a surfer...well at least I was...” he sounded rather depressed about the statement. With how bad his body was there was no way he’d be able to surf again. “Ah, I also was going to run my mom’s luau. We have pretty good food, you should come over sometime.”
♢ - for my muse to introduce yours to a family member
Gabe was nervous, he didn’t know what any of Aukai’s family would think of him, thankfully today he looked more human than ever. Standing close to him Gabe chewed his lower lip nervously. “Are you sure this is going to be okay?”
It was interesting watching those two talk in a more civil manner, Gabe spent that time picking up clues about Johnny so when they were home he knew how to handle things. The demon inside could taste the fear coming off him but there was no need to worry right now. “I’ll let you two order, and hey i’ve gotten a lot better over the last few months.” He teased nudging Aukai gently before giving his hand a small squeeze.
“I never said you didn’t. Still, could always use improvement.” Aukai hummed out, the perfectionist he was always had something to say. The only thing was that he didn’t, he knew when not to comment on something. “Well let’s just get the chef’s recommendation.” Aukai suggested. It’s what he usually did and it ended up always being good. The only thing he added was the blow-fish and the octopus.
“Hey bro, you know from the time I’ve visited I still haven’t gone to Luau, we should all go! You’re mom runs one right?” Aukai had to stop all movements. He still hadn’t told his mom, and he could only imagine how his mother would react. Sure she wouldn’t show it in front of Johnathon but he could always tell. “Uh, well the Luau the usually really busy. Have to reserve months in advance so I don’t we’d be able to.” Truth and also so that he wouldn’t have to agree. Hell he hadn’t even introduced Gabe yet to her. He knew that wouldn’t end up well, he hated having to hide this stuff from her, but she didn’t deserve that.
His questioning was like nails on a chalkboard, feeding her contempt. “You’re asking all these questions as if I’m going to answer them,” she countered, closing her eyes and letting the self repair kick in. Mechanical sounds could be heard from her while her hardware began searching for anything it could temporarily fix.
It was a few awkward moments before her vision returned, the image scattered and fuzzy. Should this keep up, it would surely give her a sense of motion sickness with her sight being so construed. However, her repair screen was now visible and began highlighting errors that needed immediate attention. The severed limb being one of them.
“Man….” she began, cracking her neck. “I sure am pretty tore up for someone who was just caught trespassing…” This time she looked directly at him, her blue LEDs staring holes into him. “Can’t believe being on private property would warrant such a take down”.
“Well like I said, either you answer them or I’ll get the answers another way. It’ll just be easier to answer my questions so that I don’t find out something I shouldn’t.” he explained with a simple tone, looking down at her. “We’ll get you medical attention when we arrive to the prison.” he spoke with an unconcerned tone. “You attacked first,” he squatted down to look at her better. “I could’ve done much worse, this place is highly restricted. Why do you think they called in a military branch?” He asked with a raised eyebrow. Hearing the helicopter he stood and grabbed the woman, dragging her up. “We’ll get to talk more later. When you’re in prison garbs.” He escorted the woman out of the building where the helicopter was.
“Make sure she gets treated before anything else.” He spoke to the other guards in the copter. “I’ll be back soon. Inform Joker on what’s going on.” He’d want them to find whatever they could. With that the helicopter flew up and off while Aukai stayed behind to see what else he could find.
“So, I mean, that could’ve gone worse.” The words left with a tired and breathy tone into the air. Sitting at the edge of a cliff, with the sun setting, it would usually be a beautiful sight that he’d take in. It was a little hard to when he was scratched up with bruises covering his body. New scratches and dents on his metallic parts, though it blended in with the others that he had gotten in previous battles. A mission that could’ve gone better caused his messy and sweaty appearance. A gang, while it wasn’t usually an issue it was only him and one other person…well if he could even call the man a person, he had honestly never seen the other without his mask.
Reaper, a supposed man that was considered a terrorist pretty much everywhere. Who could turn into smoke and had shotguns appear from nothing. Aukai didn’t know what he was and he didn’t ask. He never cared, okay well he did but not enough to ask. All he knew was that he couldn’t-well shouldn’t trust the man. He ran a hand through his hair that was now a complete mess since his ponytail holder had broken during the attack. “I, uh-Mm,” he paused as he thought about his wording. “Thank you. For saving me back there. I probably would’ve been killed.” He got away lucky, only a few bullet grazes that were bearable. How this guy took them and still be standing he had no damn clue, but then again, he didn’t know what he was dealing with when it came to him.
The masked figure didn’t speak for a moment, only really looking at him before speaking. “It’s fine. You should be more careful.” He didn’t speak often but when he did Aukai always found his voice curious. It was so low and gravely, it didn’t sound quite human but at the same time…He nodded in response. “Yeah, I didn’t think they were expecting us. Are you alright?” Yes, he sounded concerned. Regardless of what he thought of the guy, which wasn’t very highly, he still basically risked his life to save him. That sort of thing never went by him easily.
It had been his own fault, they had snuck up on him from the behind. Before the thugs could shoot him, he was shoved away and sure that hurt but he was sure getting shot would’ve been worse. “I’m fine. It’s already healed. You should be concerned about yourself.” Aukai looked down at his own body. Yeah, he has been in better shape, but he’s also been in worse shape too. “I’ll be fine. Nothing a health pack can’t help.” There was an awkward silence that filled the air after the statement. Nothing else to really say he guessed. He turned back to looking at the sunset, it was funny how after all the chaos that had just happened the world could still be as silent and peaceful as it was.
“Hawaii, it’s nice.” Honestly the voice had surprised him as he was too lost in his thoughts. He looked at Reaper again, then back at the edge of the cliff. “Yeah. I’ve lived here my entire life and sights like this still get to me.” He spoke in a more relaxed tone then he usually did. Usually when it came to the criminal he was stiff, stern, cold. But he was tired and talking about home always made him feel relaxed. “What’s it like where you’re from?” Silence, maybe that was too personal. It wasn’t like he even knew the other’s real name. Just, Reaper. For a moment Aukai thought that the silence would carry on until the voice finally spoke up. “It was busy, there were always a lot of people there. A lot of smog in the air but it was home. There were some nice beaches there too.” He sounded, sad as he spoke. Aukai could only think he was thinking of better times. Another moment of silence before the cyborg slowly stood up. “It sounds nice.” He gave a tired smile. “I know a pretty good sushi place not too far away. They do take out. I’ll buy.” The man just stared at him before slowly getting up as well. “It’s fine I can pay for my own.” So he did eat? Well that was one mystery solved. “No it’s fine, besides. Uh, I think you might get kicked out…Looking like that..” Aukai gestured him, well rather his attire. “And you won’t?” Aukai gave a soft laugh, that had honestly surprised him but he just went with it. “Well, I’m not wanted so I’ll probably be fine.” He pointed out, another small laugh. He wasn’t sure what was with the silence this time. Whether the man was just thinking or just staring, it was hard to tell. “Fair point.” Aukai’s smile grew a bit. If he wasn’t so tired he’d probably be forcing himself to stop, he wasn’t supposed to be nice to a criminal. But, it was harder than it looked. They had done a few missions together, mostly so that Aukai could keep an eye on him but regardless, it was hard not to get a little close. No matter how much he hated to admit it. This could be dangerous, being kind to a terrorist. “Aright Reaper, let’s go. I want to get there before it closes.” More silence. At this point he should be used to it. “It’s Gabe.”
“Huh?” That came from nowhere and he wasn’t quite able to process what had just been told to him.
“My name is Gabe.”
“Oh, uh my name is Aukai, but already knew that.” He tried to play it off as a joke but really, he just said that because he didn’t know what else to say. “Well, Gabe, new mission for us. Get some sushi, and maybe some sake, nope definitely some sake.” Because honestly, a drink didn’t sound too bad right now. What happened next honestly surprised him, a gravely and low sound escaped the taller man. In what Aukai assumed, was a laugh. His eyes widened a little but it didn’t show and in the end all he could do was laugh with him. Aright, maybe being a little nice wasn’t such a dangerous thing.
continuing on with the alien thing here is the species Ace based himself off of.
They men and women look exactly the same minus different color skin and go by they/them (facial features ect) and are what humans would perceive as “grays” but these guys are the friendliest out there.
They keep watch over humanity but aren’t allowed to really interfere unless another species is trying to hurt humanity.
Gabe knew that was the biggest reason they didn’t talk about it much or were very touchy feeling in public where people would recognize them. For the most part they could get away with being close friends or something like that unless they went way out of town and could be themselves.
“I don’t know if I can eat raw octopus but i’ll watch you two try it.” He shivered thinking about it, there were just some things that man could not eat. Pulling up Gabe took a deep breath before opening Aukai’s door waiting for them both to come around. “Thankfully we came on a slow day.”
“Oh come on Gabe, it isn’t that bad. It’s just any other raw sea creature you eat....Except this one is still moving.” he teased. He did feel better with Gabe around. The ride would usually be silence or loud singing from Johnathon as he listened to the radio. “this is going to be awesome! Raw octopus, blow-fish I’ll have to tell my chef to make it for me again if it’s good.” Aukai got out, following Gabe. “Yeah, usually there’s a wait but it’s the weekday so people are probably still at work.” Aukai didn’t mind waiting but like most people, preferred not having to.
“Hey speaking of work, you been riding any waves? Been hanging loose?” The younger man attempted a shaka though just looked awkward when he did it. “Uh...” Aukai wasn’t sure whether to tell him that he had done it wrong. “Yeah. I try to surf everyday if I can. I have to practice for the upcoming competitions.” He was always practicing, couldn’t really take a break. Not that he wanted to. “Oh! What about that other job? The military one? Been shooting any bad guys?” Aukai cocked his mouth, he never liked that description of his job. “No. Not really, besides I don’t really use a gun.”
“Ah that sucks, gotta show those guy a thing or two, huh?” Johnny laughed while Aukai frowned. “I don’t like killing people if I can help it.” He stated with a firm tone, walking in without another word. “I-I didn’t mean-” Johnny didn’t finished his sentence as he followed in.
The wait was almost non-existent so they were seated pretty quickly, right up at the sushi bar, which was what Aukai preferred. “Uh hey Aukai, so how do you use chopsticks? I’ve always been bad at it, especially with sushi!” Johnny explained with an energetic tone again, though held a slightly nervous expression. “Hm, well first of all not all sushi is to be eaten with chopsticks. You can eat Nigiri-zushi with your hands. Also when you aren’t using your chopsticks put them down.” Aukai had already told all this to Gabe when they first went out for sushi as the man’s skills were almost as amusing as they were sad. After a bit more of explaining as to the proper way to hold chopsticks and other things about sushi restaurants, though it was clear Johnathon got lost but just didn’t say anything, the hostess came and asked for drinks.
“Let’s get some sake! For celebration!” Aukai couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow at the statement and also for the fact that this kid wasn’t even old enough to drink. “Celebration for what? And aren’t you only 20? You can’t drink.”
“Oh. I thought it was different here, my bad! Also because we haven’t seen each other for awhile!” Honestly a drink. Might not be a bad idea. “Yeah let’s get some.”
