Since memory loss is a topic in Warframe, let's imagine Drifter/Operator slowly losing treasured memories. Like how their parents looked like. I am evil, I am sorry. But how can I not think about it, the angst of realizing that the last good memories they have are slowly fading away. A beloved face of a mother or father becoming more blurry with each day, week, month or years. Until the memory is gone.

Anyways, roughly how glamored Emmrich Volkarin appears in my ongoing fanfic, Reviving the Dormant Seed, which is set 110 years into a future where Rook fails to escape the Regret Prison. (Original concept credited to the lovely @artistic-bepp with a crap ton of artistic license from me). Prosthetic arm and a new chest guard to mask the injuries he suffered from that fateful day in Minrathous and afterwards.

"You want to know how he got those scars?" Well, you're going to have to pry it out of him because he's not fond of discussing it, much to Rook's dismay. But soon... the truth always comes out. (And no, the chest guard is NOT an excuse to not draw his needlessly intricate gilded rib cage, there's an in-story reason he hides the empty chest cavity and you're just going to have to wait until I write it- erm, he reveals it.)

Y'all ever think about how even if your Satentu connected to the Tarsyu to speak with Aha'ri or their mother neither of them would recognize you? The Na'vi only remember their life up to their last time connecting to their spirit tree (the reason why Anufi made sure Mokasa was at the spirit tree when he was dying) and I'm assuming the last time any of the Sarentu connected to the Tarsyu was a little bit before the massacre. Aha'ri would've only been maybe 4 or 5 (I'm guessing cuz we seem to be barely a toddler when the RDA showed up) and only retained her memories before then (because there was no way the RDA would ever let them close to...well anything Na'vi) Meaning Aha'ri wouldn't remember the majority of her life; tho that might just be a blessing in disguise..

Reviving the Dormant Seed

Based off a fanfic idea from Tumblr user @artistic-bepp (Post to said idea here)

9:53 Dragon. The last of the Evanuris have been defeated and the heroes of the Veilguard successfully prevented Solas from tearing down the Veil and flooding the world in unspeakable chaos, though it had to be done without their beloved leader. Bryony "Rook" Laidir, a Lords of Fortune dwarf, was pulled into the Fade at Tearstone Island and despite the best efforts of her companions was never heard from again... Until two young elves, driven by the desire to save the world from the threat of the Devouring Storm, decide to take it upon themselves to pierce the Veil and free a much needed but despised hero from their prison... Rook finds herself over a century into the future, in a Thedas she no longer recognizes but is once again on the verge of imminent disaster, playing catch up with her immortal lover, all the while coping with not only the changes throughout the world but within herself. After all, one does survive in the Fade for a hundred and ten years and not come out without a few new quirks...

This is an AU/Split branch path from my other fanfic, Nyctinasty, an Emotional Interlude. Where Rook fails to figure out the Fade to participate in the final battle against Elgar'nan. Be warned, for a time skip has occurred and shenanigans are abound. (Also, there will be several OCs in this piece, so, if that bothers you, my apologies.)

Shout-out to DA:V fanfics & fanart of companions crashing out and falling apart while Rook is trapped in the fade; Gotta be one of my favorite genders.

(If anyone has recommendations for fics or pieces plz lemme know, I cannot get enough of this.)

Ok but like a fic where Lich! Emmrich lost Rook to the fade and Rook was never able to escape the prison until hundreds of years later. Some young promising Mournwatcher was trying to tap into the fade just for funnsies or something and here comes Rook, disheveled and battleworn, stumbling out of the rift. They've been in there for so long they think this is another trick of the fade, even after the Mournwatcher is all like "I've seen you before!" and leads them to the gardens where a statue has been built for them. Their grave and memorial. Exhausted Rook accepts this new trick of the fade, thankful it wasn't their old companions blaming them or Solas taunting them again, and chills around the Necropolis.

It didn't take long for the excited buzzing that an old hero had returned from that fade to reach the Lich's of the Necropolis, meaning Emmrich would immediately go around looking for this hero, the died out spark of hope igniting once again. And then he finds his lover, back from the grave. He can tell immediately that the fade changed them, not just mentally but also physically. They aren't fully human/elf/qunari/dwarven anymore, their spirit is connected to the fade in a way he's never seen. And then they have a very tearful reunion as Rook realizes that this isn't the fade, they're really out and they have Emmrich once more.

Maybe Solas brought down the fade, maybe with the help of the Inquisitor Morrigan was able to convince Solas not to. Idk, it'd be up to whoever wrote the fic, I'm just sprouting ideas.

(I can't draw cats, I'm sorry) I highly recommend reading these tho I'm sure the audience this post will attract are already just as obsessed with these two series as I am, lmao. I absolutely love these AU's and maybe I'll even draw some more versions with the other Sun/Moon series. Idk.
