I suppose so. Besides, if it’s got all this alien controversy surrounding it, surely something would’ve happened by now.
[As long as you don’t get into trouble, Squishy. Or make any unexpected trips to America.]
Oh-! Well, no. You’re right. There are certain times and places for affection and maybe this one isn’t one of those times. I just… it just feels odd to me. [Nooow he’s slightly embarrassed, oops. He just avoids Alfred’s gaze, looking around once more.]
There’s more to it than this, right? Or am I not allowed to see it?
Perhaps. Perhaps not. I suppose it would depend on what it is that they have there. Perhaps what is there is not alien at all.
…Ah! Yes, of course.
-He walks past Arthur to the corner of the room with the hidden panel and kneels down to pull open the door on the floor. He props it open and then descends down the ladder.-
There is more to see if you would like to come down here. It is a bit smaller and much warmer down here, though.
-He steps off of the ladder and onto the floor, moving aside for Arthur. There’s not much on this lower floor, aside from three water storage tanks (currently empty), a bucket of tools, and a number of spare parts and dismantled Earth gadgets that he’s accumulated. But one can also see through the holes in the metal floor of this level down to the very bottom of the shuttle and all of its machinery.-
But nobody knows except the people that work there. And the government, I think, but I wouldn't really know because I don't live in America or anything.
[He waits until Alfred's down the ladder before walking over to peer down. Annnd then he hesitates because he's awful at climbing down ladders.]
[... But if Alfred was right and it was warm down there, there wasn't much else to do but to follow him down. When he finally manages to get to the bottom and off the ladder, he's back to staring at everything like a child in the candy store.]
Wh-... Why so many random parts?
