BABE, HAVE YOU GOT A PROBLEM?
cw; oh boyyyy lots of f words dropped, alcohol mentions, non vegetarian reader, screaming match, dickkkk Sean Hotchner, mention of self doubt and comparing to another woman, mention of a typical model, angry hotch, protective hotch.
Shortly after your broke up with Sean, you hated to admit that you kept an eye on everyone involved in the cheating scandal. You discovered the woman Sean cheated on you with was a model. From New York. A successful model, which at first sent you spiralling in a loophole of self doubt and self-pity. Until, you picked yourself up again. You remembered who you are and you stopped caring.
If Sean wanted to throw away your relationship, that is fine. That is his loss and your gain.
He stayed with the model. You didn't care... maybe a little bit, but that was your ego talking.
After a case in New York, Rossi decided to treat the team to a meal in fancy new Italian restaurant that cost more than your apartment to eat at (probably)
Just to your luck, a familiar head of blonde hair strolls in midway through you were eating a bowl of bolognaise, well it was more of a stumble- which earnt him and the blonde girl on his arm a lot of side glances. He looks up to you and Aaron sat besides each other with the whole team and walks directly towards your table- ignoring the waiters insistent words asking for a booking or reservation. He just bee-lined towards your table.
He stands at the end and you try not to acknowledge his presence but you could feel it, you could feel him there and a sickness grew in the pit of your stomach at the sight of the woman on his arm. The damn model with perfect hair, a perfect body, perfect clothes...
"Sean- you should leave." Aaron threatens with utmost authority, the kind he would use within a case while interrogating an unsub.
"I want to see my dear brother... and you." He looks directly at you and you finally cave, looking at him with a sigh.
"Are you drunk again Sean? Have you got a problem?" You implore, feeling nauseated.
"Not much." He shrugs and his model clears her throat. "Thought you two should meet Bri."
"I think I saw enough of the two of you a few months ago, thanks" You nod curtly.
"Sean this is immature." Aaron crosses his arm in defence of you, with all intentions of supporting you throughout this exchange.
"Come on," Sean says your name with frustration and rolls his eyes. "That was months ago now."
You scoff and shake your head, "Seems like you haven't changed if you followed us into a restaurant to do this."
Sean frowns and looks towards the door, "Let's talk outside then?"
"No offence but we don't want to speak to you." Aaron says bluntly.
Sean rolls his eyes with disgust and basically spits at you and Aaron. "So she's manipulated you into hating me too?"
Aaron widens his eyes then furrows his eyebrows. "No one has manipulated me into anything, I can observe the situation and make my opinion based on that."
"Frankly brother," Sean taunts patronisingly, "This is not any of your business, mate."
"It is when you treated her like a dick, typical you." He retorts, paying him half his attention.
"Are you fucking in love with her or something?" He lets out a sarcastic laugh and raises his voice. "I always knew you wanted to fuck my girl."
"I'm not your girl, Bri right there seems to be and frankly you are proving Aaron's point that you are a dick." You defend the two of you and Brianna scoffs at you.
"You're just bitter that he chose me over you."
You pause for a moment and widen your eyes. "Wow, you guys are perfect for each other. You are both egotistical, narcissistic and self entitled human beings."
Sean lunges forwards intimidatingly, "talk about me all you want but leave my girl out of this."
"I'm not doing this here with you Sean." You resist, seeing the stares and commotion uprising around you.
"Then come outside with us, I just offered you that you fucking bitch." He basically shouts and Aaron, Emily and Derek make a move to stand up and keep him away from you.
"That's quite enough," Rossi says calmly to Sean and gestures for the others to sit back down.
"Talk to me like that again you are in more trouble than harassing FBI agents." You throw at him. He scoffs.
"You call me narcissistic but you use your job as a leverage over anyone else." He grimaces and stares at you.
"You know that is not true as much as anyone else here." You frown, furrowing your eyebrows in confusion at his anger. "Are you going to tell me what you want or continue throwing a tantrum infront of everyone?"
"I want to talk to you. I said that." He retorts and you fight the urge to yell at him.
"No, you came in here shouting at me." You correct him and his eyes flash with a hint of embarrassment.
"If we talk, you promise me to never talk to me, never seek me out or actively intend to bump into me again?" You reason with him after a moment despite the protests of Aaron telling you 'don't do it.', 'he doesn't deserve it.'
"Fine." He grumbles, crossing his arms.
You follow him out of the restaurant, to stand outside. His girlfriend didn't follow, so you assume she excused herself to the bathroom.
"What could you so desperately need to talk to me about, Sean?" You ask him, pleading him to disappear from your life.
"So you brought the fucking girl I walked in on you with, while you were cheating on me?" You try explain how ridiculous this situation sounded. "To see me?"
"I'm sorry." He admits and you analyse his eyes for a moment, trying to determine if he held any guilt.
"Thank you for saying that." You retort coldly.
"That's all you have to say?" He raises his voice slightly. "I basically just told you I still loved you and you say thank you?"
You laugh in his face at his ludicrously. "Are you kidding me?"
When he doesn't reply you laugh harder.
"You said you wanted to see me, Sean. Nowhere did you confess your undying love for me?" You meet his tone, waving your hands around to emphasise your words.
"Now you're laughing at me like I'm the fucking joker, again." He fumes, his face basically turning red with anger.
"You think that you look like the idiot in this situation, Sean? I hate to admit it but you played me like a fucking fiddle and I'm the fool for it." You don't shout, you stay calm trying to cling to any composure you have left.
"You think I don't look like an idiot after breaking up with you and you are all over my brother?" He practically screams and you stand in silence.
"So, this is what this is about? You're jealous that I get on with Aaron?" You ask genuinely intrigued to hear his answer.
"No, I'm just disgusted you have the audacity to downgrade to him." He spits the word him like it was a disease he tried so hard to avoid, like he was plaguing the life he could have had. He spoke about Aaron like he was a root of poison ivy within a bed of sunflowers.
"First of all, Aaron is double the man you have ever and could ever be and double is generous to you." You actually raise your voice, for the first time, into a shout, overly passionate about defending this topic. "So don't you dare even speak his name with disgrace when his brother, you, is the worst, most immature and ludicrous man to ever walk this earth."
"I knew I wasn't fucking crazy." He matches my tone, taking a step towards me. "Listen, he just wants to fuck you because he wants to prove a point to me- that he has authority over me and you're letting it happen."
"Typical of you to think everyone's actions revolve around you, Sean. Just because you're a disgrace to mankind doesn't mean Aaron is. His heart is so pure, he is so loyal and I can believe that he never liked you because you're a bad influence because you, Sean Hotchner, are a dick, you are jerk, you are everything that is wrong with this world and this society and frankly I never want to ever fucking speak to you again and if I am lucky, never fucking see your face ever again."
You take a deep breath, seeing his taken back expression. You were a mess, a crying, mumbling fumble of venomous words towards the man before you and you can hardly see what is going on in front of you through the tears streaming out of your eyes.
You feel a hand on your back and you hear Aaron's voice next to your ear. "Leave. Now."
You think it's to you, so you make a move but he gently clutches your arm. "Not you. Never you."
Sean leaves and you are a mess of snotty despair. Sobbing into the arms of the brother of the man who broke your heart and you had frankly never felt so safe and comfortable to let out these ugly emotions.
"I will never ask you to leave." He repeats as he places a gentle kiss against your forehead and suddenly life feels a lot simpler.
