I’ve been spending all my money in antique shops and although it’s getting out of hand, it’s given me the motivation to journal again with the things I find... so I guess it balances out :)

Winter break is finally here so I hope I'll have more time to draw and set up shop to sell my stuff! :) This semester I successfully finished off two packs of pens and filled my psyche notebook with doodles and maybe three definitions

With my limited time and energy I decided to start altering books again even though I have nowhere to put them :) Since tumblr is going down a shit hole rn I'm considering making an Instagram and selling art/ altered books again?

I don't think I drew at all over the summer, but now that college started I'm trying to spend more time practicing technique. I've always had a problem with accepting my mistakes with pencil, and I like that using pen makes me work with them and not give up so easily Thanks for sticking around! I hope I can start posting more frequently soon but for now all I have are sketches from class :)

I’ve finally started free drawing with pen, and tbh it’s pretty freeing not being able to erase and redraw. I’ve always had the problem of trying too hard on sketches, and spending too much time getting every detail perfect to the point where drawing became a stressor instead of a coping skill. I’m learning to work with mistakes, and using them instead of throwing the page away and starting over..

I tried to type out a really long meaningful post about why I haven’t been art journaling/posting as much but I wrote it on tumblr mobile like an idiot and the app froze and deleted my post so I gave up on posting for two months out of bitterness ☀️

I'm really sorry for my inactivity, I've been really stressed at college and don't have any art supplies that I usually use at home. Right now I'm working with a 2H pencil and cheap prismacolors that I bought from the school store:(

Even though I haven’t been posting much lately I’ve been trying to draw more and practice different angles of faces and such. In love with college so far, let’s hope it stays that way🌞🤞🏻

Hailey got me friendship necklaces last year and I wear mine (the moon) pretty much everyday... I'm going away to college next month and won't be able to see her as much, so I painted her our necklace sayings so she can hang it in her room and remember me:)

So I tried to paint last night for the first time in months and after spending three hours repainting the background alone, I've decided I still suck at it and should probably stick to pen and colored pencil for the rest of my life👍🏻

I’ve been in a crappy mood lately, so I haven’t been able to draw much :( but I wanted to post something this weekend so here’s a pen sketch with some of the books I’ve been reading. Hope you like it
