They're here! Just in time for Sakura's birthday, our lovely mod @artofmintea has provided us with graphics to announce the prompts for Sapphic Sakura Week 2026!

This event, just like the server, is only open to those 18+
We will accept NSFW fics and art and Dead Dove fics (but not art), but they must be tagged appropriately!
AI is NOT WELCOME under any circumstances
Since this event deals with queer relationships, discussions of bigotry/homophobia are allowed, but condoning any bigotry/racism/etc. in author's notes or outside of the work is not permitted.
Genderbends of canon male characters (such as Naruko), OCs, and reader inserts are allowed- as long as it's a woman being shipped with Sakura, you're good!
Crossovers aren't allowed, as the focus of this event is on the women of Naruto. An AU set in another universe is fine, as long as the fic/art involves only Naruto characters (including the aforementioned reader-inserts and OCs).
Twitter submissions are allowed this year! But be forewarned that at least half of the mod team don't have Twitter accounts, so we won't be able to check hashtags there or view/share the art if it's locked behind a login screen.
Use the tag #sakuyuriweek2026 on Tumblr and AO3, and add your fic to the AO3 collection (to be revealed closer to the event date) so we can find your work and share it on the blog!
Late submissions will be allowed until July 25th!
We will share a server invite, good for seven days, closer to the event, so keep your eyes peeled! In the meantime, if you have any questions, feel free to send an ask to the blog!

It was a huge milestone of scientific and technological advancement. (Plus, at the time, politically significant). Humanity went to space! We set foot on a celestial body that was not earth for the first time in human history! That’s a big deal! I’ve never thought about it before but now that I have, it’s ridiculous to me that that’s not part of our everyday lives and the public consciousness anymore. Why don’t we have a public holiday and a family barbecue about it. Why have I never seen the original broadcast of the moon landing? It should be all over the news every year!
It’s July 20th. That’s the day of the moon landing. Next year is going to be the 54th anniversary. I’m ordering astronaut shaped cookie cutters on Etsy and I’m going to have a goddamn potluck. You’re all invited.
PITCH: We call it Moon Day, and then every 7 years when it falls on a Monday, that's an even BIGGER deal and we call that Moon Day Monday and go absolutely apeshit about it (the next Moon Day Monday is in 2026 so we have a couple trial runs first)

We spun different wheels for Sakura ships (Top 20 Cove Rarepairs, Ultra Rarepairs [less than 10 total results on AO3], and WLW Sakura Rarepairs) and were randomly assigned a prompt
The art pieces were 3 Artists Challenges (different sketch, line, and color artist per oiece, randomly decided via wheel), but we also had some writers join in with wheel spins! Links below; check them out!
