Ahhhh because this blog is now in safe-mode, I can't change the icon :( very sad

But! I can still show the icon that I made for it! It was a tedious yet fun process

Because I started out in MS Paint, I tried to make it symmetrical and have a guideline on where the middle us for example.

I decided on sparkles as the image, because they bring me joy and I thought it looked nice. I fussed around alot with the placement of the smaller sparkles and on the inner glow and the outer curves a bit; I didn't want for it to look to stiff. Zooming out and looking at its intended size helps with that

I didn't worry too much about the right colours, because I wanted to put the image into Gimp afterwards anyway and play with the values there.

I think the left picture was before I put the image through Gimp, as it's more washed out and the purple is not as vibrant. The right was supposed to be the final icon...

...but I then took a picture of the icon as it was displayed on my screen on my phone and this crazy green effect happened! I found it so cool thst I cropped and recized the photo to make it the final icon! But, right now I can't use it :/

I made all of these on the 24th of March, but, because this blog suddenly went into safe-mode, it scared me and I couldn't figure out how to post from my computer. So uh, I'm now doing it from my phone.

If yes, here are some old and new ironing beads stuff!

Here are old and new pieces that I ironed again from the back and front, because some didn't hold their shape well enough or could snap more easily. And this way one of the sides is really smooth and nice to the touch!

I have made some more and I'm working on a bigger piece right now too. Hopefully I have enough beads to finish it...

Since I've been so into the beads lately, I searched for other ways to utilise them. So! I found this video on YouTube, which taught me to thread the beads into a pattern like this! I made a pattern on my laptop, chose the colours based on the beads I had and,, spent 2 days threading it all. Additionally, I tightened the thread so that this little blanket would be very stable.

Hooray! I finished my first pack of the beads! All that is left are some green beads, that I don't want to iron. Ironing these ones took me 2 hours already, because I wanted for all the beads to melt well together.

Still not sure what I'll do with these exactly,, I'll most likely keep them for now and see. Also, these are all the boards I own. The square one with borders is very wonky, and at some point in the past I have melted the prongs on the corners quite a bit,, oops

The fairies, pumpkins, butterfly and worm are based on their sprites in Terraria! Due to limited colour-options I couldn't make the fairies as luminous as they are in game

Ah yes, my old, dried out gouache... what fun.

Indeed, it was fun to use it again, even if it's not ideal. I really like it still, because it dries opaque when not diluted with water and it dries fast, unlike aquarelle.
